K&F been that!! I only use their filters from the jump. I havent dove into their magnetic line although Ive flirted with it, but yeahhhhh K&F is it. from their filters to their batteries

@@frankfeng2701 stack it with a ND32 filter, that is what I do, saves buying two variable ND filters, and no noticeable difference in quality.

Excellent review. I appreciate how thorough you were. One lingering question though: some Amazon reviews mention that the magnet is not strong enough leading to the filter being easily knocked off. I’m assuming user error and the filter by being seat properly in the magnetic lens adapter. Are you able to shed some light on the magnet strength? Do you find it sufficient to both hold the filter and to be able to adjust nd strength one handed? Cheers 🍻
@RossBarnett0212 күн бұрын
@ You can knock it off on accident, I have maybe once or twice since getting the filter 4 months ago. BUT - it’s mostly user error. It takes some force (like accidentally hitting it up against a wall or setting the camera down hard). I only adjust the filter with one hand while handheld shooting and, once you understand how the magnets work, it’s very intuitive. So, yes. I see where the reviews come from. It’s not as strong as a screw in filter. But no, it’s not a big deal.

@RossBarnett023 ай бұрын
@@longwinded3871 For this particular version, they make a 3-7 stop alongside the 1-5 stop. But I don't think there is a 6-9 stop. They're separate filters, so not stackable.

thanx for the video!.....can you stack a mist/diffusion filter on this vnd?
@RossBarnett023 ай бұрын
I don't think so, at least not to the outside. You could (in theory) put the mist/diffusion first then the VND to the outside of that. But the VND doesn't have stackable threads on the outside.

I really hoped they had threads for a mist filter

Is it possible to add magnetic or screw in diffusion filters?:))
@RossBarnett0228 күн бұрын
I don’t believe it’s possible to stack filters with this one. You could add a screw in filter before, but not sure how vignetting would be.

@@photosbyjames_ I’ve heard good things about the nisi, but - same issues with not being magnetic. The magnetic is just so convenient. I’ve definitely used 12,800 iso indoors with the ND on before. Especially on the fly.

@@RossBarnett02 I have the NISI True Color and it's absolutely the best quality ND I've ever owned. WAY better than the over hyper Peter Mc Kinon.. It's not magnetic but it as a nice stackable system to add the 6-9 stop without screwing anything.. it just clips. As for the 1-5, it literally lives on my lens, even indoors (using 12800 ISO on the FX3)

Ummm What difference does the color of the case have to do with anything? Do you open your camera gear bag as a display to show off how color coordinated the contents are??? What?!? The color of the foam in the case contradicts the color scheme of your other gear as a ding against a product is the MOST ridiculous thing I’ve heard from a KZbin review video.
@RossBarnett023 ай бұрын
@@r.derrickthomas2909 lol, having color coordinated gear in a well organized bag is definitely important to me! Not a dealbreaker, but it does help give that premium feel.
