@JonesMichaeltopКүн бұрын
JEPQ is my favorite so far. It pays monthly with over a 9% yield and also has stayed fairly level. The down side is that it was incepted in 2022 which means there is not a lot of history. I also like FEPI and SPYT.
@johnketh-n9vКүн бұрын
An ETF with more risk and payout is QDTE. It pays weekly but is higher risk because it just came out this year. The fund is based on covered calls which make money in any market, up or down.

My portfolio doesn’t just cater to dividend stocks. I hold $VFIAX (S&P 500 index fund) in my Roth IRA and $VTI (Total Stock Market ETF) in my taxable brokerage account. Two of my largest holdings. The individual dividend stock positions all complement the index holdings.

My first thought was they sounds like a *marketing gimmick* like the Kevin O'Leary ETFs or the Meet Kevin ETFs. Another red flag for me is the Sofi ETFs, which are a poor knock-off of their intended ETFs. The biggest red flag, which you addressed, is they are an ETF of ETFs all managed by the same company, Tidal. I agree that these funds are just a cash-grab by Tidal to trick Millennials and Gen Z to give them money.

So, probably best to stick with XDTE, QDTE, or RDTE. WDTE, QQQY, and IWMY barely pays more, and the Erosion is toxic to Margin accounts. YMAX and YMAG have Distributions that aren't 100% Return of Capital (which is very t ax efficient), unlike the others mentioned, and is less Indexed.

I recently added FI to my portfolio, and while buying wasn't an issue, the widespread rumors of a financial reset are quite unsettling. Are there any strategies to help protect my $305k portfolio in such uncertain times?
@Masumakh1Сағат бұрын
I believe that diversifying your investments is the safest way to handle it. One way to lessen the effects of a market crisis is to distribute investments over a variety of asset classes, such as international equities, bonds, and real estate. It's also critical to look for exprrt advce.
@BBmbr89Сағат бұрын
Agreed. It's always wise to be proactive and consider diversifying our investments to manage risks in uncertain economic times. I delegate my day-to-day investing to an advsr ever since suffering a major steep-down late 2019, amid rona-outbreak, and as of today, I'm semi-retired with barely 25% short of my $1m retirement goal after subsequent investments

Yeah, the best investments for FIRE would never have FIRE in their name. Doing so is only a marketing ploy to get people to invest in their funds. I bet that fund paying 4% yield is probably paying more but they're only giving YOU 4% and keeping the rest.
@vinomailsКүн бұрын
Just keep the fund in Fidelity. You will get 4% automatically.
@badass6656Күн бұрын
Any investment used will depend on the underlying investments. There are many strategies which can be used to achieve FIRE; Aggressive capital growth early followed by capital withdrawal or purchase of income funds' Accumulate growing income. Through funds offering some yield and dividend growth like DRGO, VYM and SCHD. Buy the highest yields available given a reasonable level of risk. The yields and investments will depend on the skill and risk tolerance of the investor. There cannot be one FIRE investment.
