The rioters are attacking the community who have suffered such a horrific loss. 54 police have been injured so far, the same police who were first responders on the scene the day before, who helped save lives, who will have been traumatised along with all those who witnessed it. Now they are attacked and injured by men who are not local, travelling into the area for mob violence. They are victimising the community a second time. The mother of one of the girls who died has already begged for the riots to stop. Many other little children will be terrified, stuck in their homes while rioters kick off in the street. This does not serve the victim’s families at all.

In recent months in the UK there has been a two tier system used by the police depending on what group of people they are dealing with. It has not gone unnoticed and I believe the way people reacted towards the police is a sign of that. I do not condone the violence, but again why are these politicians so out of touch? In Leeds the police ran away because of the main reason, they didn't want to be labelled racist. But if they had acted the same way as they did in Southport by confronting them, the police would have suffered so much more brutality. You only have to witness what happened at Manchester Airport to have proof of how the police were treated. Instead of now saying how disgusted of the thugs, as usual just focusing on them, there is a person responsible for the massacre of children, yes children! Many people in that area yes grieving for the families, but also very angry! With the cutting back of the police forces, the police force has now shifted to underhanded tactics, instead of having the manpower to collect proper evidence in good time, they resort to heresay and probability of a crime and prosecute based on flimsy information. Most people would think well they would just go to court and prove there innocense with flimsy information, but hears the thing!!, the damage is already done!! The court hearing is months or even half a year away, people will suffer anxiety in the mean time, they will have to appear in court make statements, its not a nice process. That is one of the new methods of punishment employed by the police force it would appear. Doesn't matter if there guilty or not, if they think your guilty based on there opinion they administer the punishment. Judge dread, just without the killing part. This has been going on for a while now and will get worst with more cut backs, they need to bring back more police. If they don't, people will get angry and they will use any excuse to batter the police into the ground! I have a couple of freinds who are police, they are nice people! Most of them are and I feel bad for them, but I also understand why people are getting angry, not that I condone the behaviour.
