Soooo intriguing! I totally get that drawing details everywhere actually dilutes all the detail, leaving the whole piece wanting for ... contrast? Fascinating process. Bravo to you for having the courage to scrape away so much of your detailed work in search of more haunting, powerful, authentic images.

Yes, it’s definitely a situation of “kill your darlings.” But I’m always glad that I did.😆-Prof Lieu

I wonder how many ppl just got the urge to look at their heads while wrapped in plastic? Wouldn't work for me because I see no things without my glasses. That's an interesting observation about details. I was just watching a tutorial about painting autumn trees, and the instructor said that if a detail is everywhere, then it is nowhere. I must need this lesson today since I've heard it twice within one day.

Powerful, very interesting technique. One question if I may: do I understand that the etching ink dries on the Duralar?

Yes, the etching ink drives, although it takes a really really long time.-Prof Lieu
