It’s not beautiful - you have to stay there for like 5 years or more I think.. you won’t have places to entertain yourself and will just have to live like ther - you have to use the money to repair the house - you have to have a kid I thing.. there’s so Many things you have to do

@@user-zd4yc6qv4e entertainment is a relative term. For most people who grew up in a rural area themselves it doesn't require as much as it might for a person who prefers a city environment. And im just guessing that the only city dwellers one would find somewhere like this, are those who are sick of it. For someone like myself. I would be okay with my immediate family, pets and a good internet connection for an endless supply of books and movies to keep my mind busy. And I would be totally fine in a place like this. From what I know the standard of living in Ireland is basically about the same as the US or other places in Europe. So its not like moving to a hut in the bush or something similar lol

Why not open to the Irish diaspora? Many people of Irish descent have been raised with a love for Ireland. The current requirement to have a grandparent born in Ireland may be too prohibitive. Most of us have great grandparents born in Ireland. In addition, you could set rules that the people have enough income not to be dependent on the government for sustenance.

I like many others got my irish citizenship through my great grandparent. The stopped this in 1986 . Mu mom applied through her grandmother applied through her. If your parend was registered through fbr before 1986 you are still entitled.

There are countries that are either paying incentives or giving away free homes in more remote areas but you have to already be a citizen of the country. People see the videos and get all excited but it is usually not for foreigners. Over the years people in these countries have moved closer into bigger cities, leaving the smaller towns and villages kinda empty. Sometimes the job options are limited too, perhaps if you are retired or are able to work remotely.
