These Things Take an ETERNITY in the PHILIPPINES (but why?)

There are certain things that seem to take an eternity in the Philippines - but why? Is it a non-functioning government, incompetence or lack of training? We waited 4 years to get a permanent registration plate for our motorcycle. There is something fundamentally broken if it takes that long. Other things that can frustrate include lack of garbage collection and when they do come, they don't accept bottles. What are we supposed to do with all these bottles, with no bottle banks available? If you go to a bank or want to pay an electric bill at a local office it can take hours. I discuss a few things in this video.

Some people don’t realize the effort that is needed to carry a KZbin channel. I really appreciate your content and hope you keep posting your videos. The Philippines is a very bureaucratic country and it’s time consuming if you have to deal with any government office. We foreigners need to get used and chill out 😂. Take care and happy new year.

Very true Craig everything takes forever here and I have learned to bring bucket loads of patience with me but still get frustrated from time to time. Latest was my wife and granddaughter went to register her for next term at Divine university Legazpi and what should have been a very easy task turned into a whole day full of bureaucracy and waiting around. Only recently discovered your channel and hope you continue Take care Jim

Slow is the standard here. We have filed for a title to our property (in partner's name) nearly 3 years ago, nothing. My partner filed for an annulment of her first marriage 4 years ago, nothing. We purchased some additional property 8 months ago, nothing. We purchased a private transformer for our electric line from the light company, it took 8 months after we paid to get it installed. Filipinos drive fast but wait for everything else. Nothing is done on time, with the exception of visa extensions, they take about 20 minutes where I am.

Wait until you go to register that mountain behind you that you already claim as yours. You will see some real bureaucracy then mate. You need more views on your videos and that will involve showing more of the Philippines, where you live and talking more about the laws and things expats are looking to learn about. You don’t need much video editing so the issue seems to be that you are trying to do too may things to make money now taking up too much time. 3k + subscribers is a good start though as far as KZbin . Stay the course. 👍🏻

I'm the same. I complained a bit when I first came here in 2015 but you end up feeling like the grumpy foreigner. I don't bother much now, although it still irks me 🤣
