WOW the wonderful surprise at the end was worth all those years training! He IS GOOD! My grandson took lessons on the internet and it was really good. He got his basics down well then switched to a local woman that began nearby teaching. I love that a family includes music in their daily structure - it think it's as important as any other field for well developed kids. It teaches so much more than pretty music. The same with art. Two extremely valuable thinks for good development. PE has always been valued for getting their energy out but it also has so many values that kids learn in team work, consistency, following directions, mental skills, responsibility. These not 'book learning' skills are very valuable AND fun. Gotta enjoy life.

I am really impressed by your level of knowledge on growing food, preserving it, maintaining the land and everything around that! As a beginner who doesn't have that much space and appliances, which one would you recommend getting first: a freeze dryer or a dehydrator? If let's say I want to make the most of the berry season or later the mushroom season and want to buy as few new gadgets as possible, I am not looking for super long term storage, but about a year would be nice, so that I could theoretically have a supply until next year's harvest. It doesn't need to keep longer than that. if I could just store the dried stuff in normal twist-off glasses that would be a huge plus, I try to avoid plastic whenever I can, I just don't want plasticisers and stuff in my food, but I don't have a vacuum sealer and the special jars you show here, I don't know if it is worth getting them as my garden is small, I am nowhere near your production.

Busy and chaotic? Didn't see that in any of your clips. 😅 I like a tidy home and also being busy all the time. But you maximise all. ❤ I just wondered how you managed that as your kids were too young to help. My husband and I had 2 or 3 years of being tired and ill as our children were young. It was sooo hard to keep on working in that time.

LOVE the aerial views of your Homestead! And, the videography plus your editing makes your videos look so amazing, Becky! You've come a long way 🙂! I can't believe it's been almost two years since the last one! Wow! And, your little guy is almost a year old. I have bought so many things while watching your videos and have been unable to give you credit because the Amazon links go to the US Amazon and I am in Canada. I wonder if there's a workaround. I've bought a ton of books I have seen from you and have found them extremely useful. Last year I bought "Freeze Fresh" after seeing it from you and it made a huge difference in how I store some of the food we grow. I had no idea I could freeze so many things! Anyway, I would love to use your links and bless you in this small way. Thank you for all that you share. God bless you and your family 🙂

I'm curious to know how you all chose the location of your garden in comparison to your house. Do you ever wish it was closer to the house?
@TheSeasonalHomestead5 ай бұрын
We put the garden in before we built the house. So I didn’t exactly know where to set it up. It’s in a place where we drive by each day and I can see it easy. I’m glad it’s not in the backyard area… that wouldn’t have worked anyway since it’s a huge septic field. Considering I didn’t know where the house would be I’m very happy with the location! It’s actually more convenient than it seems!
