It’s not like Campbell didn’t know when he signed that he was just keeping Dre’s spot warm till he came back from his injury.

@@godhelpus2dayhow did you find a way to blame Shanahan for yet another thing he didn't actually do? Defense had their best game of the year because of the decision to play Dre. I bet he gets no credit for that though.... Steve Wilks was shit. There's a reason no other teams hired him either. He's doing volunteer work at UNC Charlotte right now. Can't even get paid to coach college football.

@@rrecar8684that's not what this dudes post was about. He claimed he would use Campbell as a scapegoat. 1) he absolutely could be, and it would be totally valid 2) Shanahan has said like 2 sentences about it. That dude is dead to him and that organization.

@@zackhurwitz9441 Right and it also saying Campbell didn’t do anything wrong. Plus just because someone does something wrong and gets fired doesn’t mean he shouldn’t get fired because the offense didn’t do well

I played Football for many years. I’ve been a Captain. I don’t understand why Bosa didn’t say something. At a minimum “shut up and stop complaining. We have game to play”. Anyway happy with this outcome. I just don’t understand why Bosa wouldn’t have said something if you see it transforming

Teams tested Campbell all year. Not once did he make a play. He barely held his own. It’s clear that greenlaw was dearly missed all year. Hufanga & Greenlaw made that D look stingy for the first time all season. I wish someone had video evidence from the sidelines.

Not true defense looked good up until bosa went out in the bucs game don't believe the hype the defense played very well but kept breaking late in 4th quarters but that was after carrying the team for 3 1/2 quarters Kyle's b.s. offensive play calling and inability to score especially in the red zone was to blame the defense shoulda had big leads goin in to the 4th but instead they found themselves having to keep defending 3 point leads

If Deebo had just caught that pass. That's what I think about. Without Dre, the defense was hamstringed anyway. Campbell made maybe 3 solo tackles all year.

Honestly, enough of this story. The guy fucked up and now he's been cut from the 49ers and suspended. He deserves that punishment, for sure. That said, no need to crucify the guy. Since we held the LA Rams to 12 points, we can say that the defence did a reasonably good job and that this drama had no effect on the game. The offensive play did cost us the game. Can we discuss that a bit more please?

This team is lacking leadership, this guy quitting, Deebo arguing with the Kicker, crying about lack of passes, BA and Trent hold outs, the losses of the 2 babys, this season was doom to failed before even began they just need to keep all starters out of the rest of the season to prevent and even bigger injury, its time to start focusing on next year

hmmm - if I'm a team leader and I see behavior that is disrupting the team - especially this team that is already reeling - I would have pulled him aside waaay before the game began...Campbell's behaviour is symptomatic of a lack of true leadership at the top. many here will disagree, but if you add up ALL the insulting, infantile behaviour that the "team leaders" have displayed, then Campbell's behaviour is in line with everything else. Let's list a few things that have occured that demonstartes a lack of true organizational leadership. 1. Aiyuk's behaviour during training camp (wearing black vs the colours he should be wearing) and Shanahan allowing him to throw a tantrum on the field 2. Trent Williams sudden "grab the bag" holdout appeased - Trent comes into the season out of shape 3. Deebo (need I say more)...and that's just the tip of the iceberg

I don't think Bosa is Captain Material. He's a skilled guy sure, but hardly feels like a beating heart. As team captain, it's your job to rally your troops. Technically Campbell would fall under Warner's jurisdiction, but when you see something, do something. I think him and Deebo need to be demoted to standard players next year.

Just saying Campbell purposefully threw the game. How our 49ers picked up Brock in NFC championship game vs Eagles we needed everyone to pick up Deebo!!! clock ended sorry to say that. that is probably the reason why Green Bay releases him One too many Quits and severe sideline give ups. Love John for just not once ever will he have a give up on a 49ers sidelines. Campbell gave up John literally took A sucka out For sure why Curtis Robinson is sorely missed

Bosa is clearly their most impactful defensive player. They give up 35+ anytime he isn't out there. Is he overpaid? Yes. Still a top 5 edge rusher, easily.
