Hi Lizzie, just had to say what an incredible loving mother you are to your weans ( children) your a wonderful example of Getting on with it as we say in Scotland but most importantly your in your element with motherhood and all the joy that it brings and not forgetting the extreme hard work involved every day of the week you both do ,your just a sweetheart. Eva 👍🏼👏👏👏👏👏

Ah, yes! I needed some Sheep today, a dull, gray, snowing but not sticking day here in Abingdon, Virginia in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Wee boys have such a big challenge just maneuvering in an adult world. Walking on coarse gravel is not much to us but they're big lumps to toddlers. The same challenge exists for walking through tufts of grass. It's good to see Jock and Angus not held back by things like this. These are rough-tough hard lads!

You’re right! Falling down often makes for tough adults hopefully😅

16:54 "The light is nice, it suggests warmth." Completely reminds me of that Still Game episode when Jack and Victor are arguing how many bars of the fire they should put on and the light just gets turned on 'to suggest warmth'. 🤣 It also reminds me of the time in 2021when the power was off for 3 days in Central Texas and we were all freezing, my sister and I were put on fireplace duty to make sure the gas didn't cut out and kill the flame, and kill us all with the gas. I think we reached 2 degrees F (which is bloody freezing, and our houses aren't built to keep heat in) 3 days of misery, not being able to cook anything, or really sleep, and my sister and I kept cracking the joke 'it suggests warmth!' (-3C = 26.6F that would have been warm compared to our 2F = - 16.6C) Y'all keep warm! Love from Central Texas! ♥

Jock demanding dad wait for mum and then asking if mum is okay just warmed my heart 3 sizes. I mean, every kid has lots of selfish times, but then they turn around and prove they are learning empathy and it gives me a little hope for humanity ;)
@deedawson607422 сағат бұрын
It’s NOT weird Cammie. It’s what you start doing when you have kids, so the kids know who you are referring to. My grandparents in their 80s answered the door one night to a raffle selling child. My Nanie said to my Grandpa, go and get my purse dad. The kid looked in awe and said. ‘Is he your dad!’ / My son came home from his grandmothers on day and said, ‘Mum, mum do you know Grandma has another name?’ Does she I said. ‘Yes, it’s Jean’.🤣😂🤣

When our kids were your kids age they were reared in the back of a Toyota Land Cruiser ( commercial no seats) with at least two dogs, if you did that now you would get arrested, they shared their food with the dogs and got beaten up by sheep but by the time they were six years old they were a great help. They are heading for forty years old now and they have a bunch of kids between them, I remember that my wife’s friends were horrified when they discovered that we dosed the kids and dogs for worms on the same day twice a year because they literally ate out of the same bowl ( so to speak) back then there was no preschool so they were fiveish going to school and tuff as nails, one teacher called the wife aside once and said she was concerned about the younger one because he would fall and give himself a hard tumble and then get up and run on he never cried even when he drew blood. Love your videos and podcasts well done to you both and the wee lass who I struggle to understand if I am just listening to a podcast but can ( kinda) if I am looking at it. Regards from Ireland

A question??? Has the popularity of sheep vlogs in the UK, Canada, and Australia helped keep lamb on the minds and menus of consumers? I buy more lamb now.... although in Australia when big supermarkets put $45 per kg on lamb racks it does push my to only buy meT from a local butcher!
@TheSheepGame7 сағат бұрын
That's a good question, and maybe one for our Fed By farmers Podcast! I'll need to look up if sales have gone up for Lamb, but there's a huge boom in farming media in TV and online, so it's probably doing something.

Weight pays, but time on the farm also costs. Yours, wormers, fluke etc extra feed the list goes on. Ok if it’s to take advantage of higher prices but dangerous to assume that high prices at the market equals higher profits. Either way can be a gamble, it’s farming!

with a narrow front end that rig tup should be the second tup in with the Ewe Lambs (first time lamber called here in NZ) - easy birthing - NZ has just gone up to NZ$8.10 per kg - like Scotland we had a hard lambing season with the weather - nasty storm came through and it snowed

I think stock have become less fit after the introduction of wormers, antibiotics and vaccines. In the old days animals with poor immune systems wouldn’t thrive and wouldn’t be used for breeding. I wish we had DNA testing that we could use on our problem stock to identify which genes don’t fit in our environments.
