Most people's jobs don't require them to spend a lot of cash upfront and put in a ton of work without a guaranteed amount in compensation. You've got nerves of steel compared to most of the folks I know. I have so much respect for all your and Lizzie's hard work. The boys are growing so fast!

Cammy , you shouldn’t have to disclose any of your personal financial information with anyone in the world because it’s your business. Don’t ever feel bad and please Do Not Ever let anyone bully you or make you feel like you have to apologize for not talking about it . If you want to throw out rough numbers of what things run that would be enough if it pertains to what you’re trying to put out there info wise . It’s totally ok to keep a lot of things private ❤️. People will still flock to you and Love you just as much. Thanks for being you.

Absolutely your finances should be private and in no way tied to the way you create your content. That is most assuredly not why I watch you. We love seeing your family and learning about sheep some things are to always be private😊

I enjoyed the auction and the explanations, and watching you and Lizzie decide together, but my favorite part was when you "took over the driving", the banter and getting the lambs out in the darkness! Long days and hard work all the time! But you stay upbeat and fun, wonderful to see.

So lovely to see you and Lizzy with sweet Angus at the sale. I really enjoy the auctions; just glad it's you and not me! Those big numbers make me queezy😅. One little comment from an old lady: I so respected your rule from the beginning about no swearing, and proud of you for speaking up about it even with other farmers. It seems to have fallen away lately. I'm probably not the only person who would appreciate your care with that again. Thanks for sharing your time and family with us. A new Sheep Game episode always makes my day. 💖

It appears that if you land near the bottom of the list most of people are gone and your lambs will make less. Always great to see the family ! We love being a part of the family. It’s always nice to see the boys and watch them grow and change.

Not always ,sometimes a dealer just needs another pen of sheep to fill a lorry or a farmer who has made a long journey to market just decides to pay over budget rather than waste another day away from the farm having to travel to another sale ,this has certainly happened to me in the past but i have also experienced a poor trade at sale end

"It's all a risk." That's farming worldwide, Cammie. I remember one year we had the best-ever crop of wheat - and we got hail that absolutely flattened it to the point nothing could be saved the night before we were due to harvest it. Farming's a career where you must be willing to gamble against nature almost every single day.

That second lot were some nice looking texels. I have a soft spot for texels as I had a sort of “pet” texel tup when I was growing up on my family’s farm in the Netherlands. He was called Jos (Jos the Boss, named after a Dutch racing driver) and I used to joke he was my unicorn, because he had a single horn that looked like it was growing from the top of his head. It was a weird deformity but clearly not genetic as none of his progeny had it.

It is also true of farmers in Wales. They do not want to disclose what they pay for X Y and Z. Even down to how many sheep do you own. I have heard them say that you dont ask someone how much is in their bank account so dont ask how many sheep do we have.

Strong stores are always a numbers game there's so little to be made per lamb. Buying the smaller ones to sell on a rising trade later in the year gives you a better chance of a worthwhile return if you have the winter feed. Or a get out at a small profit if you're unable to get them all the way to fat.
