Yup, the HW 98 is definitely an excellent rifle, frankly I haven't come across a springer that can match it. Ok, granted, the AA TX200 comes close, but that's the only spring gun I can think of comparing it to accuracy-wise, and that's an underlever. Speaking of accuracy, my 98 is the older version with full length barrel and no detachable front end, in .177 FAC, with that gun I've nailed a fly @ 31m... I'm not saying I could do that _every_ time, but I wouldn't even attempt it with any other spring gun, and think I had a chance to actually hit, it is certainly true that with this gun, we're heding into PCP territory. Oh, and it's the reason I decided, after buying it, that my life is simply too short to bother with any rifle that doesn't have an adjustable butt pad and cheek rest.

just a thought to cover the sound of the impact in the shed, has anyone tried playing a sound loop over a blue tooth speaker in there of random shots striking? Have to leave it playing for a few nights but they would soon get used to it and not scatter when you do take a shot.

@@richsaunders6515 Hi! I own all HW springer models except the HW57 and the 95. Actually the 98 is a 95 but just with an added barrel sleeve and an the great adjustable stock and without the iron sights. I see therefore no reason to buy a 95, but if a nice used one will cross my path for a good price i can't refuse to to buy it of coarse 😁. I can't say if there is a best HW springer. Best for what i want to do with it yes, but not best in accuracy or build quality. In my opinion it's useless to own a HW80 in the UK with it's 12fp-lb restriction because you'll never enjoy/use it's potentials where it's made for and would rather choose the 95 or 99/50 unless you want it have as a fac rifle. I prefer to hunt with my HW35 because it's quiet cocking and like the weight, for just close range pest control the HW30 does it's job as well and is very easy to shoot. They are all accurate and well build and with all of them i shoot groups within one centimeter on 25 meters. The 97 and 77 i shoot most. Right tool for every job and in some pest control situations i even prefer my S410 but for target shooting it's just boring to shoot the PCP, but o love the S410 and 98 for free hand shooting... That's my opinion but someone else can have a different opinion or needs. Cheers!
@rapalaron63485 ай бұрын
@@theshootingshow Thanks for the review. In my opinion the HW98 has it all. Great for target shooting, plinking, pest control, free hand shooting and even hunting if the extra weight is no problem. The extra you have to pay for the added barrel sleeve and superb adjustable stock with perfect grip is worth the money. A great looking gun too but only for scope use of coarse.

The 98 in this video makes an audible ‘buzz’ or ‘twang’ when fired. Weihrauch are fantastic but they need fitted guides and top hats.
@davidmartin10935 ай бұрын
The farmer certainly let the numbers build before tackling them..!! The scope offered everything a night shooter could want, but the extra spotter looks an essential piece of kit or you'd be waving the gun about all night with it up to your eye. The 98 seems a nice looking and performing gun..👍

2 rats, 6 litters a year, up to 12 young that reach maturity in about 5 weeks that 2 rats = 1200 rats. You can use poison, but will the rat eat it when plenty of food already available, and potential for chickens to eat the poison. Traps have similiar problems.

If you took the time to answer two questions for me, it would be appreciated. 1) How do you properly dispose of the dead rats? 2) Now, this question is kind of humorous. “Have you ever killed two rats while they were mating?” Because nothing would kill the mood faster. That is if your 6-year-old entered your bedroom while Mommy and Daddy were “wrestling.”
