I think a part of it is because of the gazillion cigarettes he has to smoke all the time. After take 142 of lighting a cigarette each time, anyone would end up sounding like Barry White

Definitely. It's a great show. I was totally invested in the characters after the very first episode. And if you find Cillian at all attractive you won't be disappointed seeing as he spends A LOT of time on screen, always looking impossibly beautiful.

For the people taking a swing at Cillian Murphy, in my opionion, I think they’re over-analyzing him here. At most, the closest thing to the level of crap people said here that I could think of would be that he’s only a tad bit sensitive about his age. And hey, that’s something definitely relatable and nothing out of the ordinary. He seems like a pretty swell guy based on how he presents himself.
