25:30 although the Bay Area may seem very wet being coastal with constant fog, etc. California as a whole is actually very dry and in a near-constant state of drought, so many people do opt to have succulent gardens since they don't need much water. Having a green lawn that needs regular watering is considered a huge waste of water, so the more native succulents, grasses and bushes, the better!

Reminds me of my narrowboat house from back in the day. I've always wanted to live on a narrowboat, so my younger self built a narrowhouse. A narrowboat is only 6'10" wide externally and can be anything from 25' to 70' long. I had a small patio to the rear to represent the rear deck where the boat is driven and a tiny yard to the front to represent the small bow deck where gas bottles for the cooker are usually stored. The internal living space was the average Sim height in width, just three tiles. That would be a double bed with just enough space to walk along one side. From the rear it was; (Outside) Dining area > [Kitchen w/ breakfast bar > Lounge w/ sofa bed]- Open plan > Hallway > [Bathroom > Bedroom]- To one side, off hallway > (Outside) Seating area. What you have at 6:06 could pass for a widebeam narrowboat. They're 12-14' wide externally, which is also around the typical width of your standard UK terrace house. So although odd-looking in The Sims, this is just a normal living space for most people in the UK, just half of it is on the first floor.

My first house I brought when I was in my mid twenties was SUPER thin but tall. On a very very busy street in a city in the uk. It was a kitchen on the ground floor with a very thin walled in staircase at the side the next floor up was my living room then next was two bedrooms and the top floor was a huge bathroom and storage space. I also had a basement which looked haunted as heck, that I turned in to a bar/ cozy space that was used a lot as a social space in my neighbour. This time of my life was so much fun, I learnt a lot renovating that place.
