Exactly what I was looking for. I want to develop drawings for post frame buildings and this video provides a perfect starting point.

Hi everyone! I've heard roads and paths - what other skills would you like to see in this series? Also - I'm aware that I for some reason was entering the dimensions of the 2 x 4's wrong 😂

Instead of drawing two lines at 4" and 12", explain to people how to use the protractor tools to draw a 4:12 slope.

I realize this video is quite old so I'm not sure you're checking comments anymore, but can you, Justin, or anyone recommend any plugins that can create structures (exteriors only) from photos? I've used the HOVER app, which allows me to export a .skp model, but because the app is built for creating takeoffs and estimates for siding and roofing, it is a VERY expensive way to obtain a SketchUp model!

Generally I'd use Match Photo for this kind of thing - it's built into SketchUp

I don't understand the purpose of assigning Outliner groups and sub-groups to Tags. Outliner groups can be turned on or off within Outliner by clicking the eyeball icon beside the name.

Ummm... Not sure where you're getting 1.75" x 3.75" "2x4s". As far as I know, 2x4s are 1.5" x 3.5" IRL. Not that it makes a real difference in your example trusses.

DANG - you'd be correct. Every time I do a video like this I do something dumb like that - last time it was the deck and the boards running the wrong direction 😂 Luckily I'm much better with modeling than dimensions

For trying to teach others how to do individual tasks, your near constant zooming out/in is extremely distracting. If your goal is to teach, stop trying to show off with how fast your actions are/can be and focus on teaching. Pick a view that captures your work and stick to it.
