Was excited spiral stairs were in the tutorial as I was planning on building a set soon but low and behold go to look up the code for the area, banned since 2018. No fun I say. Great video tho, thanks

Hii, I have sketch up pro 2019 and I don’t have on the left side search button. I don’t see it in the help section neither. Or in my toolbars in View section :/ can you help me find it? AMAZING VIDEOS by the way!

You know what would be awesome is if you had a visual of what sequence of keystrokes you use for each step. for instance: Click to highlight group,r rotate tool, click, control, click, *14 when copying stairs. Maybe I am too much a newbie but I get the concept but I find the sequence of keystrokes difficult.

hey hey, im gonna stuck at the point where it comes to copy the stairs. evertime i type in this "*14" it just says wrong angle and does nothing. any adwise?

Hmmmm. If the railing segments are identical, could you render them as components and then change their profile?

Probably but you’d still have to fix the intersections manually

I tried Grouping my Path, and then change the Axis to follow the diagonal along the Green Axis and the Red Axis being the perpendicular... same twisting result.

I’m pretty sure in this case the issue isn’t the axes - it’s the mathematical function follow me uses to extrude the profile

Why not make one step, then raise AND turn it in 1 time, and then repeat it?

Because this method (at least to me) is faster. Honestly there's a method with the pro version and an extension called Memory Copy that I prefer, but since this is in the free version I didn't do it
