Were not here to break any Stock Bottom end records but 670HP from a Turbo LS in a 1985 Holden VK Commodore makes for one epic street car!
Backed by a Powerglide and 35 spline Ford 9, Wazza's VK Commo built by RK Garage has all the right ingredients to throw down some numbers on the Knight Family Motorsport Dyna Pack Hub Dyno!

Always grateful for the likes of Kye sharing their time and experience. I hope Haltech have him on a deal as he is doing ace product marketing. Small details: raising the front end to level the car out for oil feed pick up on the dyno. So many times I see a car backed up onto a single axle roller or hub dyno with zero consideration of a potential issue on sump level while a car is flat out and the oils struggling back from the heads etc.

I see like 13psi average when sensor is in upper rad hose wich is where I like to put them. Some will creep to 18 ish or even low 20’s but you get a nice spike into 30 she’s gone lol

9-10second pass again a goal we used to aim for. These days yeah it will do 9's for years to come. After the 2500 hp summernats dyno thats gunna become the new benchmark to get to as we just blew past the 1000hp and 1500 so i see 2-2500 hp as the new 500 hp its crazy people dont understand how much hp that actualy is look at road trains in wa pulling 10+ trailers and there all trucks that dont even have 1000hp. Its getn to dangerous crazy hp numbers esp in street cars.anyway sorry for the speil guys love it all keep it up

"Wastegate priority" is an interesting comment made by the tuner. Boosting 4psi on a 7psi spring because gate valve is being pushed open a bit because of good flow to the wastegate. I dont like how the gate pipe merges the dump, i like to see a lesser angle where it shoots in.

Heaps left in that combo, gone 930rwhp on a stock L98 through a t400 for several years and people make 1000+ on SBE iron 6.0 every day of the week. At least at that power it’ll do 300,000kms I guess! Cool streeter.

The mounting block for that IAC must have small passages/hoses, mercruiser uses them on 496, and 502 ci big blocks

Tune the warm idle at 0% iac and gain more control. Use timing to pull a high hard idle down to target to gain even more.

E85 has really changed everything. Getting +100HP per liter is "trivial" these days. Back in the day that would require a meth+water injection or full gasser setup. Both of which were super temperamental and the eternal killer of engines.

It seems like 2 out of 3 cars here end up with a barra. What is it a ford 6 or v8 or something else? I enjoy watching the vids but I'm not really a car guy. I have only upped one car, long ago, a 90 model corolla seca SX, it really pi$$ed off a lot of commodores and falcons. BUT I had someone else who knew what they were doing. Ok, extractors, air pod and the expensive part was changing the computer as the factory one was fixed. Latter were cams. Lost top end speed but it got there fast, fuel consumption was better as well. Give me a nice little 3 phase 415v 50 amp ( or more ) to play with, I know what I'm doing with that.

A stock bottom end will happy make way more. I make 1000 all day long. Rods definitely not happy and do bent but if the tuner knows has shit you will be right. I did 700 for 2 years on 98 and stock fuel line lol
