I just love you dimple dies. The first set I had were made out of Oak, wood that was flame treated. Turned both die halves in the lathe, then flame burned the shapes, light sanding then some oil to preserve the wood and allow some slipping when forming the sheet metal. Keep showing us the right way to modify our cars the right way.

teflon thread tape is ideal for finger cuts ... put er on tight for the initial bleed then back it off when the throbbin starts ...... once ya stop leakin give it a wash and reapply .. and non stick !!

In this video, Turbo Yoda becomes Super Yoda, god help us all. When you say "Turbo 700" transmission my brain slips a gear. If that's the same automatic overdrive as the US or similar it would be a 700R4 here, the "Turbo" branding was only used on the TH350 and TH400 in most cases in the US. So much stuff is similar yet at the same time, not at all on Holden's compared to American GM vehicles. I've seen the Holden based Caprice PPV (Police Pursuit Vehicle) they sell here in the US, those things are just a little, uh, off I guess is how I'd put it, compared to "real" US Chevy's, and the Police PPV was not a Chevy at all. The cops loved 'em here, plenty of power and pretty damn reliable too. The Dodge Chargers aren't as reliable as the old Crown Vic's even, and the Taurus sedans which are front wheel drive with a V6 are a joke for cops to be using.

It was specced as a blower cam from the start. If the engine was built to be NA we would have done things very differently.

I need one of these for the 308 in my old Bedford bus. A real bus, not a Bedford van. The original 6 cylinder diesel was swapped out years ago, before 1998 after some initial investigating, for the petrol V8. I'd love to restore the thing, but judging by the rust and internal water damage, this thing has been stationary somewhere on the coast for many years. I doubt I'll have the money needed to restore. But hey, might as well give it a go.

Woody said he reckons the blower is way better than the supercharger based on how it drives and I would have to agree with him. The downside isn't how they drive, they drive arguably the best, the downside is how inefficient they are. A turbo actually gets you better mileage and more power, while a blower greatly reduces mileage but gets you more power. So for most people a turbo is fun enough plus you get the great efficiency and mileage, perfect for daily driving really. A blower V8 you are going to be paying at the pump for that thing. That said if you don't mind the mileage and can afford the fuel blowers are the way to go for sure. Instant response, "violent" acceleration according to some articles I've read that compare them to centrifugals and turbos. Turbos are catching up though the new rally cars have a second throttle body valve setup that allows air to bypass the engine and go straight into the exhaust, and with direct injection they can inject fuel right on the exhaust stroke so you end up running the turbo like a gas turbine off of fuel and air so that way you are always at full boost even at idle. This is much better than the last generation which had to keep the throttle body cracked open to let air to spool the turbo with fuel injected on the exhaust stroke because that system caused the downside of never being able to engine break, the car would always "push" a little bit which the drivers didn't like on the corners understandably. Super turbos are pretty cool though having the blower and the turbocharger together. I think that combination helps to recover some of the efficiency loss of the pure blower setup while still retaining pretty much all the upsides like instant response and tons of torque from low rpm.

I myself are hard addicted to the real aussie V8 ..Probably as i grew up with them and fiddled around so much with them .Every car i bought nearly had a 308 or 304 in it ,be it later strokers ..But i shouldnt have really gone that route in the end ..Maybe what you have done would have been far better .And that set up looks fantastic ...Nice work mate

As an Aussi company it’s a shame that they can’t make a product that’s affordable to the every day petrol head all their products like yella terra another Aussi company are all over priced its no wonder US companies like edelbrock, comp and crane cams have a bigger slice of the Aussi market. I’m a retired mechanic I have been in the game for 55 years and was always considered to be good at my job, I build a few motors at home for some of the local young blokes and I’ll never use Harrop or yella terra while they are priced out. Of range for the average punter

I understand that Harrop reccomend using coolant in this intercooler. However has anyone run a "colder" liquid and had any success ive often wonder if running straight ethanol or methanol as a coolant work lower IAT's. Obviously theres a saftey factor involved in this but being unsafe has never really bothered me before
