Alcaraz was absolutely amazing. I would've been surprised if Djoko won looking at his previous matches but I certainly wasn't counting him out because Alcaraz did look vulnerable but also Djoko has won numerous titles. But I've seen him (Alcaraz) numerous times and one of his strengths is his positivity and the courage to go for it whether he wins the point or not. No fear to go for it. It's high risk at times but very exciting and good for him. Agassi was questioning whether Alcaraz could dominate tennis because he "smiles" alot during the Netflix slam match. I thought to myself. Yes. Of course he can! Everyone is different. Agassi hated tennis lol and won, but Alcaraz loves it and wins. I also heard many people bang on about lack of concentration during matches but I think this is completely normal as someone so young. I do not expect him to be so consistent, that's why I'm amazed at how well he's doing. I remember Djoko doing plenty of drop-shots which was losing him many points. He changed this later on and became very secure in his game. I also agree. He is the best player at the moment. He was sensational in the final. The most dangerous thing is that he is most unpredictable and he has everything in his game so those skills could come out at any moment during a match. And once he's matured and consistently hits the right shots at the right time, then he will be almost invincible. My only wish, is that he does not have major injuries. If that's the case, he can make double digit slams. But who knows, it's not a guarantee. Winning multiple grand-slams is very difficult. We've witnessed extraordinary tennis with the big 3 and Murray. I don't expect history to repeat itself quite like that so I do not compare with them. But what this does, is great for tennis. The Sinner-Alcaraz rivarly will only get bigger. Love both the guys. They'll also be other guys such as late-bloomers and new young blood who will challenge. That's always the case.

Had Carlos in four tight sets before the match but it was kind of a blow out until mid third set . I think the reason Novak missed a lot of volleys he would normally make is because he’s aware of Carlos exceptional movement, he did how however seem devoid of energy those first two sets not much on his shots , lack of penetration on serve, Carlos was locked in from the start and never relented until maybe 5-4 40-0 djoker would have had to have brought his a game to pull through today and even that may not have been enough . I do think djokovic’s game maybe isn’t going to cut it against the top top guys anymore which is to be expected he is starting to slow down not playing as much , the question is how high can Alcaraz go At lest ten plus now surely ?

Sinner was not necessarily superior to Alcaraz. Alcaraz dropped his level a bit and based on watching the 2 so far, I believe that Alcaraz has a lot more variety than Sinner. Sinner is the closest competitor though other than zverev and Medvedev ocassionally. For next few years (unless another player emerges), Grand Slam fights will be b/w Alcaraz, Sinner, Medvedev and Zverev and the rest are basically many notches down. Of course, Djoker is technically there but I doubt he will last beyond 2025 if at all. Anyone who saw the AO match with Sinner could predict we would get a similar result and he didn't even have the knee injury. He simply doesn't have the energy to complete with players that have the same or greater skill than him when they make him run all over the court. It's not just youth its skill as well because he can still take out younger players that are still ranked relatively high.

I can’t agree with you when you compare the age gap between Federer and Djokovic (5y) and Djokovic and Carlitos (16 y). Roger and Novak are the same generation the gap is quite narrow whereas the gap is abyssal between a 21y old and 37y old. Just incomparable

14:45 oh yes. the only difference is that Federer was better player than Djokovic in that wimbledon final 2019, which was not the case with Djokovic in this Winbledon. Yeah, back then, 38 year old Fed against 32 year old Djokovic. Now we can see how good Federer was.

I can't stand Novak and glad he got beaten but l think you are sugar coating this a bit, the 3rd set was tight until he finally managed to break Novak's serve but failed to close out the match and then Djokovic broke him due to nerves. As a result the two games after ended up sending the match into a tie break. Just like the Tiafoe match it was like a light switched on and Alcatraz was able to comeback n win the tie break, to win the championship. So hypothetically the 3rd set could have gone either way but l am relieved it didn't.

lol "able to comback". He was leading with 2 sets. How else can you not sugar coat it? It didnt go either way. Clearly another joker fan looking for excuses.

@@buzzfunk The " comeback" in the set, just meant the set could of gone either way, considering how well Novak does in tie breaks. Yeah if U look at just the sets it looks like he got destroyed but l was pretty concerned when Alcatraz couldn't close the set when he was serving for the championship. I am last person U should be calling a Joker fan for years l refused to watch men's Tennis because of him. I hope he is gone for good now.

good summary, no analytics. as always. why was Carlos winning serve-return battle? Why was Novak going to net so often and played high aggressive game even if it didn't work for him? Why the backhand down the line didn't worked? Why had Carlos so much success with the body serve? answering those questions is analyses. sorry, but you are not there yet. what you are at is to point out what we all seen for ourselves. in other words - you are at level of whats, but not at hows and whys. But I hope you can improve.

I don’t agree with you about sinner, I think if sinner was fully healthy in that meditative match it would’ve gone way different. I also think sinner would’ve beat alcaraz (if healthy) in the semifinals. I think that sinner clearly would’ve been the same thing to Djokovic like alcaraz did in the final today. just wait till the U.S. Open and if he can stay healthy at Wimbledon next year, he will be the champion mark my words july 14, 2024

what is novak going to say the truth ?? he has all the records doesn't need look down on anyone he has nothing to prove...Carlos knows himeself he won by default against a injured,one legged, 37 yr old who just had knee surgery...Big deal nothing to praise or any kind of real achievement..Ndal/djoki aussie 2012 final 2 healthy guys battling for 6 hours that is a match.. I would bet the farm if djoki got the 3rd setwould be talking different ,carlos would have been embarrased being beaten by a cripple..Carlos is not the smartest guy he will win some more in the goldilocks era with nadal/djoki,murray,fed.wawarinka all gone..once his hard hitting injuries start creeping up he will fade away

Federer was 37 years old then in 2019, not 39. Don't keep adding years. He was born on 8th August, 1981. Wimbledon is held in the beginning of July. Novak was 32 then, a difference of 5 years. How the heck you can compare - unless you are a Federer's fan - this to a 21 year old beating an out of form, surgery burdened 37 year old 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@michael8597
@michael8597 Ай бұрын
Nobody talks about a 21 year old kid beating a 37 year old player fit enough to be his father. Not only that, this 37 year old player is terribly out of form not having beaten a top 10 player this year. To compound his misery, his knee went under knife just 38 days back and playing Wimbledon was doubtful even 3 days before the tournament. And these biased analysts don't talk about that while they were making all kinds of excuses when the kid got cramps at French open against the same player who was at his peak then. If the kid is such a marvel, why he almost lost to Tiafoe and was also outplayed by Humbert for almost 2 sets..
