Where were you thirty years ago when I started tying? You are an excellent teacher, patient, thoughtful and best of all - knowledgeable!

I like how you are constantly teaching and educating rather than just simply tying a fly. It has the relaxed feel of a Sunday morning fishing show.

Thanks G, that is the idea. there are lots of go fast tutorials out there with no history or background so we just do it like we were hanging out, and I talk to much to do them fast anyway. Thanks for watching. Kelly

Another helpful video Kelly. Can you give us some advice on how you rig and fish these in stillwaters, especially since it’s unweighted?

That was my comment about the coffee. Does that mean I get a hat and a fly box? haha just kidding, thanks for all the videos!

I got a question, im wanting to get into fly tying, ive been fly fishing for a couple years now but i want to take the next step. I got all the tools for my birthday but i have to buy all my materials. Where do i begin? Im on a budget being that im a college student still living with my parents and i hear theres nothing good about the cheap fly tying kit. What do you recommend to put in my kit to get going while being cost effective? I fish for bass, trout, carp and panfish

Sam, pick one or two flies that you will fish and are basic, like a bugger and a basic nymph or dry. Then just buy what it takes to tie those one or two flies. Tie a dozen of each and then buy the stuff for another fly, just enough to do a dozen, that way you dont have junk you will never use and pretty soon you have materials that start over lapping. Feel free to call the shop anytime if you have questions. Thanks for watching, Kelly

Whitefish Lives Matter. That's a loaded joke with a cruel edge. It's a turn off for me. I was enjoying Kelly's videos till I noticed that. I don't expect much sympathy for my comment, here in fly fishing land (which I love), but I have to say it. Count me out.
