Being a Beemer guy I hate seeing a quality machine treated poorly. Glad you are working to fix the new owner up. Love all your work and advice. Be it BRP, BMW, or guns to cable ties. Glad both of you are healthy-the dogs sound ok too!! 👍👍🏍🏍🏍🙋♂️

Hold on to your sanity. You know THOSE PEOPLE are out there. The good thing here is YOU are good. NUFF SAID. You being into colors, your ride home should have done it for you. Simply PNW beautiful. Stay safe and relax. U need it. Lol😎

This reminds me of a neighbor I used to have. He drove a Toyota truck he would constantly say how great a truck he had. Then he blew an engine. Found out later he never liked doing maintenance on his truck. I don't care what your ride is, if you don't do maintenance on it you'll end up with troubles. I used to have an old 850 Fiat spider car, it was a maintenance nightmare.

Hi Shawn, re the R90T rear brake pads, when they are new the are not much thicker (OEM of course). I believe the issue is when the material is depleted it comprises the bonding material then it’s metal-to-metal and game over. 🤪🤨😵💫🧐😳. Thanks for sharing your experience. Kindest regards from Bonnie Scotland. Joe.

There are aftermarket parts that exceed BMW quality. One must do his research before going that way. I always ask my techs advice before going that route. Sometimes the cost factor plays a part. But incorrect fasteners-never!!!

Love to see more R9T content. I just picked up an R9T-719 the Aluminum/Black and Red model, Stunning Bike, but it’s 19 degrees here in NJ so the wait for Spring is terrible 😣

The way that bike looks tells me it was owned by somebody with more money than sense! And probably ridden by a spoiled brat. What a shame. Hopefully none of the internals are damaged. Happy Hump Day! Peace and love.

Reminds me of servicing my 2009RT. Pretty much the same except I have tupperware. I'd add the air filter and grease the rear splines on the driveshaft or at least take a look. The final drive oil did look bad. Gotta wonder if the original owner did any maintenance. Not good. Whatever BMW says needs to be done, do.

There are aftermarkets parts available that are better quality than oem.... that was NOT it! 🤣

Wow that R9T looks worked over and not maintained. Makes me think the internals could have suffered too. Hopefully the guy doesn't end up regretting he bought it but I would have passed on it. It proves to me a buyers check from a Pro is worth the hour or so labor cost.

It amazes me how someone could treat a BMW like that. Those engine bars look home made and rusty bolts to boot.

Crappy parts from China.. like the crashbars, skidplate and radiator cover.. Buy quality aftermarket stuff from germany/france like Unit garage, Hepco & becker or SW motech.. using those parts on my urban GS and they come with top quality fasteners etc. :)

It’s so sad that somebody would do that to a lovely bike , the only thing that comes to my mind is that they didn’t pay for the bike with there own cash ,
