The thing I always loved the most, besides the obvious that he was a metal guitar legend, was his personality. Not once at any time during any of the home videos I've ever seen was he a dick to anyone. Not the crew, his bandmates, or most importantly the fans. He was one of the greatest guitarists of our time yet he never had a super ego or made anyone around him feel small or unimportant. He treated everyone with kindness and respect almost like you were a friend. That's what I always admired about the guy. Genuine class act.

Он стоял у истоков грув метала , продвинул и укоренил звучание этого стиля, Pantera в 90-х на фоне гранжа, альтернативы и умершего треша встала во главе классического металла и Даймбег с Вини в интервью говорили, что играют всё тот же хеви и это так и есть, этим вдохновляя множество музыкантов по сей день и тогда в 90-х.Копировал ходы, поэтому не уникальный? Смешно, посмотрите видео у Смокиша, где он показывал, что известные всем лики в соло партиях берут свои корни от одного и того же, но это один лик, а вся песня это несколько рифов и соло в котором несколько пассажей, если он копировал Ван Халена, то почему творчество Пантеры это вообще другая музыка нежели Ван Хален? И да, он был новатором, его гитарный звук уникален, т.е отличается от всех остальных, его риффы уникальны, они отличаются от всех остальных, он граммотно внедрил Вамми в риффы это тоже отличает его от других.

@@zeproua Да, сами рифы не сложные, но скорость плюс постоянные слайды - это нечно. Я все, кроме соло, научился играть на 80% скорости, быстрее пока не могу - куча ошибок и размазня, но я все равно добью эту песню. Она для меня имеет несколько сакральный смысл - когда в 1991 году я впервые услышал эту песню - я захотел научится играть на гитаре, поэтому буду до упора учить )))

Dimebag WAS Heavy Metal. He embodied everything about the genre and about being a musician in general. Only now as I get a bit older do I hear more and more of the Van Halen influence in his playing. That used to be lost on me seeing as how Pantera's music and Van Halen's music are fundamentally quite different, but that influence is all over Dimebag's playing. It was in the way he'd "put a little English" on it.

Добрались мы к выходу когда ACDC уже играли последнюю For Those About To Rock. Мне кажется, если бы сейчас решили организовать такой халявный концерт, то он не собрал бы столько народа. Тогда ведь реально приезжали ребята из Владика, жили в палатках только ради того, чтобы посмотреть Метлу или Диси
