We need to contend with the Roman Empire (not forming rome in CK3, that would be ridiculous - we're tearing it apart) and invade it. Forming Briton is similar to uniting the celts, but BETTER! We start on the isle of man in one of the hardest CK3 starts out there and end up with an EMPIRE!

About the Celtic vs Brittonic: They are two very closely related things, with Irish, Scottish Gaelic, and the old Britonnic languages being part of one branch, and Welsh, Cornish, and the Briton spoke in Brittany being another branch, but both are within a larger sub group of Celtic languages. Fun fact, while Celts migrated from the mainland to Ireland and Great Britain, there were actually no Britonnic Celts in Brittany. They later migrated back from the British Isles to Brittany, establishing their Insular Celtic language that was closely related to the Britonnic languages as more prominant compared to the Gallic Celtic languages of the Gauls and Latin.

Fun fact in this mod Britannia (Roman England) is extremely weak and maxes about 700 troops for the first 5 years so it’s quite easy to beat them

It makes thematic sense that Kent was one of the last to be conquered, as the motto for the county of Kent is “Invicta” which means “unconquered” as Dover wasn’t sieged but instead agreed to not get involved in preventing William from taking the crown, as long as long received favourable terms. It’s also said that at one point his army fled in fear from the local people of Kent when he attempted to march through. Up until the 20th Century (basically until writing your Will became a thing) land titles followed gavelkind succession (like the Anglo-Saxons did before the invasion) unlike the rest of England which followed Primogeniture succession following his conquest. So it’s clear that Kent did indeed receive some kind of concessions from William.

Unfortunately the town isn't known as lynn laith cau anymore, just linlithgow. It's a very nice town though. Lynn laith cau is the old Welsh spelling of it, which makes sense for this time period as it's Brittonic culture, which would eventually diverge into modern Welsh, Cornish, Breton and Cumbrian, the latter being the dominant culture in Lothian up until the modern Scots.

Try moving your capital to the Briton kingdom instead of the Isle of Man. It's currently in Alba, making that the capital kingdom, and the fact that alba is full of non-Britons is disallowing you from creating an empire.

15:50 it literally is money was invented because everyone used gold and it was a pain to carry so they made storehouses and slips to say how much gold they had and eventually it got to the point where nobody was coming to collect the gold coz they were transferring it using the paper slips so they were like fuck it we could lend this out for more gold even though we don’t own this gold we have this gold and nobody seems to be coming to collect it might as well use it and that’s how banking was invented but yeah it’s literal gold

Becoming "King of the Britons" giving you the de-jure lands of England would be fine IF the title was changed because as you mentioned, it aint exactly England without Ænglos. Also the flag - the White Dragon represented the Germanic peoples whereas the Red Dragon represented the Welsh (Britons). Of course because you're brythonic, the flag could have been literally any generic celtic symbols associated with the region. Okay also tiny tiny minor thing, you said you were Bretons - nu uh, you're Britons. Briton in the context of the game and when referencing the Celts refers to people from the mainland of the british isles speaking a Brythonic language south of the Antonine Wall (the Picts are suggested to have spoken a Brythonic language but are not included as Britons). The Bretons are Britons who migrated to northern france both during Magnus Maximus' return to Rome to become Emperor and when many Cornish Britons migrated there during the Ænglo invasions. This is an extremely small nitpick and only pedants who spend too much time researching this will care.
