It’s impossible to ever sing like Whitney. Whitney’s voice is a combination of every singing style

Yes, I agree that no one can ever sing exactly like her or any other singer for that matter! But we can totally learn the techniques that she and other awesome singers use =)

I read the comments...guys, no one will ever be Whitney, like no one is ever be like each one of you. Every one of us are unuque in our own way. As person and as singers. I really dont like when singers are trying too much to sound like Whitney or any other singer...its pointless. JUST BE YOU❤

That’s so true, but we can definitely learn so much from her.

In my own personal opinion from being a huge fan of her for years, wt makes Whitney so special is her "Emotional belting technique" 💜

Love it! Totally agree!

Whitney was well trained in choirs and under her mother's guidance. Consonants accent the rhythm and consequently give more emphasis to words and singing line. If you study classical singing, you learn all of these things.

Its sad that we live in a generation where singers are trying to mimic past singers, this is why music specifically r&b is dead and no longer has substance. Imagine Anita Baker or phyllis hyman trying to sing like Aretha or Whitney trying to sing like Patti? We wouldn’t have these 5 unique, iconic artists!

Most famous singers take inspo from past singers tbh. Nothing new

Correct me if I am mistaken as I am a beginner, but in the How will I know song she can sing almost the whole song on mixed voice without having any weak notes ...she was not only talented but there's a lot of work behind it. And yes, she uses all vocal functions

She was in the church singing with her mom all the time she had more than enough of practice to have a healthy singing voice

That is one thing I need to work on is the emotional aspect. I have a hard time sharing my emotions vocally. I can be silly and goofy, which is what I resort to. I have had many folks tell me to emote the song and I feel empty when it comes to singing that way.
@KerriHo3 жыл бұрын
Hmmm, totally understand, singing your emotions can feel super vulnerable and scary. You're not the only one who feels that way.

It is funny. Yes you can sing a song like Whitney. But you will never learn the whole artistry. She had a vision of herself. Even when you hear her sing at 13 she improvised while singing gospel. And it all evolved into something legendary.
