A good substitute if you have seafood allergies like me would be a good Hoisin sauce, which has a similar texture to the oyster sauce, though it'll have a much richer taste. I'm looking forward to trying this actually! Maybe I could substitute hashbrowns for the egg for a similar presentation since I can't eat whole eggs by themselves either.
