I think a black trim around the front door would look nice :) it would match the window shutters and also, bc the green and the brick are so similar in tone (it kind of seems to blend in) the black would help it stand out/separate a little bit more :)

If you're not sure how old a door is and if it has lead paint for whatever reason, just do a lead paint test. That way you don't risk it by sanding it down and you can strip it instead.

There's a paintable caulking, i just used it for a window pane project for the exact same issue on your door. it helped a bit.

You can also have caulk tinted with paint!

You should not caulk on glass to wood. You should glaze with putty which is paintable

Use aquarium silicone to reseal the glass--you'll need to peel out the old stuff with a utility knife first, but you should be able to get a pretty edge with new.

Wasn't sure I was going to like it looking at the color in the paint can. That dragonfly doorknocker can always be spray painted some other metallic color can't it? Love the color of the front door! Fabulous. Also love, love, love the dragonfly knocker. Please think again about putting it on the door. You could pressure wash it to get it super clean, just leave it in the sun to dry really well on all sides before attaching it to the door. Your home is becoming so much a reflection of you, Kelsey. I love this one the most! It's just such a nice feeling that translates through the video and over to me in Georgia, USA. We have been staying at my in-laws home for the past month or 2 because we sold our house and didn't find a house until a few weeks ago. 1 and a half more weeks until we move! There's a pool and backyard space that needs SO MUCH love. What could really help with measuring things like the deck is a wooden folding rule. It's so common where I come from and a lot sturdier. It's just a little funny to me (and I feel a bit sorry) seeing all the Americans and Canadians struggle with their measuring tapes, as there is such an easy solution.

I think the door knocker is absolutely wonderful! 😍 So I had kept it for the new door. The black dragonfly against the green door also becomes a nice contrast together.
