Couldn’t understand how to layer in a multi; like you say I already had BUT playing the screen keyboard only reflects the selected part. Excellent. I finally get how to use multi’s in SampleTank. Now I can load a single instance as an IAA in AUM but have multiple instruments on the channel, each controlled by a separate MIDI channel. Not quite as flexible as an AUv3 but still quite powerful. This app does have some good sounds and a pretty wide range of instruments. If IK ever offers AUv3 support I will seriously consider buying more expansions. Thanks!

Hi! Thank you so much for your video, I was struggling with the channels, so it just saved my life! 😅 I have a question: I would like to plug to my Ipad my midi keyboard + my guitar (along with "midi guitar 2") at the same time, with a certain patch assigned to the keyboard, and another one assigned to the guitar. For instance, I'd like to be able to play a guitar riff, get my looper to play it, and immediately add to it a drum part that I would play with my midi keyboard (much easier than with the guitar!). And I would like to do that live, so I need the process to be fast and easy. Do you know how I could set that up? Thank you so much! Michael

QUESTION ... Which sound library did you have to purchase in order to fill out the "STRINGS" section? Below the "cello", all I have in my library are "greyed out". I initially bought the iPad Sampletank 2, then added "PRO", thinking I would be getting the HARP you have in this video, but that was not the case ... So, which sound library has the harp? Great tutorial, Doug. One suggestion - could you do a bit less of the hand-waving across the front of the iPad? I know you're enthusiastically demonstrating things, but perhaps slower, more deliberate pointing without the random waving that is very distracting as we try to follow what's happening on screen. Thanks for your videos - great stuff :)

Is there anyway to adjust individual instruments using a midi foot controller? I.e. I am hoping be able to switch instruments on and off “hands free” while playing live. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

DJ Marla Jo... he covers it super quick from runtime 6:10-6:20.... basically tap the name title of your multi... a drop down menu opens with the "icon" to save revealed... tap that and it saves your multi...! The save icon sort of looks like a "file download" icon? That about best description I can give... but if you watch his video at the time I mention above you should see it. Hope that helps!

Trying it out is different than watching. Right off the bat, where you have a little + sign at the top left of the User Preset Multi page, I have a ± (plus or minus) and tapping it does nothing. Missing a step am I?

I just had a look on the App Store and it looks like you need at least an iPad Air running iOS 8 or above to use this version of the App, Ik Multimedia are saying you cant update unless you have this.

How to save the user multi? Because the manual only says how to do them and in your video it shows how to do it but not how to save them, I have the sample tank free but buy the package of all the sounds, I can use the sample multi, and make tracks but when editing a milti Nothing is saved. I already wrote to IKmultimedia and according to them it should be saved but it does not !!!! Where do I claim ???

Crescendo Talleres Musicales you must change the setting to "user" preset to save... in the free version there is "demo" preset and "user" preset...

If Korg can run Gadget on all iOS platforms universally, its a shame IK multimedia can't. Sure Gadget and Sample tank are different apps and all but IK fails here.
