Council of Four is such a fun and underrated commander. It solves a lot of the annoying problems of group hug by: - Being asymmetrical in a very powerful way - Advancing the game state by creating tokens to potentially actually _close_ out the game - Protecting you with a big butt Great video!

He did have rhythm of the wild. He basically would’ve had to choose haste with the riot ability to give haste until end of turn to then activate minsc so not as bad. Maybe a couple different trades.

@@ryanquinn1257 I realize this is a year late but, riot gives the keyword haste. It lasts as long as the creature is out on the field, not just until end of turn. Important for cards like Minsc and Boo.

@@ryanquinn1257 a little late but Champ of Lambholt got played a turn before Rhythm was on the board. Therefor the first st of counters should not have been placed on Champ.

I saw Jim playing this deck on Elder Dragon Hijinks a bit ago and immediately set out to make my own copy. Council of Four adds such a unique spin on typical deckbuilding with the way it incentivizes breaking "bad" symmetrical effects.

Jim's deck looks really cool! I've been thinking about running Council of Four for a while now but wasn't sure how I wanted to run it because I already have a pillow fort deck. Now, Jim's deck makes me want to run stuff like Wedding Ring and turn symmetrical effects asymmetrical.

A thing I've been doing for some time is making short general notes after commander games about what happened. "Perfect draw", "doubled teamed", "X seems good/bad", that type of stuff. This is one of my favorite notes, "KOZI CAN COUNTER". Glad to see I'm not the only person who forgets that is a thing he can do.

I always forget that Tower Worker has reach for some reason. It might've blocked some flying damage, but dying to a lightning bolt is still great TV. Lots of big plays from everyone at the table for sure!

Honestly, with Jim's library being that light I might have cast the Eon Chronicler anyways to give him an extra turn to draw more cards. You get protection from him both turns so it might buy enough time to ult the Vraska too.

Aaron couldn't put counters on Champion of Lambholt when he first cast it as it doesnt have trample or haste. Other activations are fine because Kodama gives trample.

Fun game! Swindlers scheme can only counter spells cast from hand, so the windgrace should not have been countered. Don't think it changed the outcome, just thought it would be valuable to point out.
