This was a brilliant interview. One of the best Kanye interviews I have seen in a while. I truly believe Kanye has the ability and genius to do everything he says he wants to, and this was a truly powerful platform for him to express himself truly.

kanye west no matter what you think is out here connecting with the ppl from different industries to change the social landscape of life, which is his dream. So before you waste your precious time and send hate through social media, think about your dreams and aspirations; and collab with the ppl to make them come to fruition. Kanye to me is the most truthful person on the planet, he doesn't care what some fat kid behind a keyboard is going to say, because that kid isn't making the world better, he being fat and sending hate through social outlets. Peace Love, Dope Shit!

Very miniscule but a possibly telling detail: The power point at the 1:36 to 1:55 mark showed the names "STEVE STOUTE" and "BEN HOROWITZ", then below it had "With Kanye West", Kanye's name in a smaller font. Not trying to nitpick, but doesn't that seem weird? If anyone knows of a specific reason why they did that, I am curious. Other than that great talk.
@hlminds60910 жыл бұрын
Because those two are professionals in the industries they are talking about crossing. Tech and cultural advertising. And Kanye isn't a professional but preaches the same values. The people who bought tickets to the panel were probably more excited to see the other two over Kanye.

Parsing through the top comments, the concentration of the Cannes forum has yet to be discussed by viewers, as they cannot appreciate the significance and context of the discussion. The idea that people are dismissive of ideas that are not [easily] obvious to them is sequential to the landmark nature of product success: brilliant symphony, like a brilliant idea, is novel yet familiar. It's the attribute of design that propels, as we've experienced in Apple.

i love kanye and most of what he says but am still a little un-easy with his thinking of having everyone at the same taste level. who is to say one thing is more or less tasteful than the other, every person has their own individual opinion of what they like and it is what makes the world interesting. for me a homogenised world where everyone walks around with apple style products and dress to a 'tasteful' level would be rather dull. but maybe i'm misunderstanding him
@DangerMau5s10 жыл бұрын
There's some variation and subjective thought behind taste level, but there's a defined line of what is good design and what isn't. I believe he's talking about it in a design sense

In my opinion. They might have got their facts wrong. In terms of Telecommunication, Apple's mobile sector has a lower flagship (in term of hardware and performance) than Samsung's products. For example the iPhone 5s has the same flagship hardware as a 2012 Samsung phone. Kanye's comment and his approach is appropriate. But Michael angelo wanted to be a painter and was a painter but was forced to carve sculpture.
@FromTheHuts10 жыл бұрын
If you use the appropriate software such as geek bench, for example, to test the benchmarks of Samsung Galaxy S5 and iPhone 5S, in speed and performance, you'll find that the iPhone 5S outperforms the Samsung Galaxy S5; Samsung's 2014 device vs Apple's 2013 release. This is not a biased statement either. I own both devices. But I use my Galaxy S5 more because it has a far better battery than the iPhone so it doesn't fail me during long days with no charging source. The only issue is "bloatware" software (useless apps by samsung).
