The bell that just went off for me was if I am interpreting people's behaviors wrongly it isn't a stretch that my NS is interpreting movent, food, and pain wrongly! Awesome video as usual! PS. What a hunk! Hay I am dizzy, not blind! :) xo Ava

I am almost 14 years in this persistent dizziness, housebound. First 8 years doing the doctor merry-go-round. I live in Canada. Everything takes awhile. No diagnosis. The last 5 plus years I just stopped everything. You have given me hope at a second chance on life. Thank you!

Bee, you are NOT alone. There is hope and I believe in you. You are not stuck this way. One of my clients (also in Canada) was in bed for over a year. She is up and at it again and is even driving. She does not feel 100% yet but she is living again. Please start with the course, that's where she started! It's completely free, it will explain what neural circuit dizziness is, and then it will help you get moving again and address stress. You can find it at thesteadycoach.com/free-course

I loved this. Two ppl just talking absolute sense and motivating me to get well and finish my counselling diploma. I watched this telling myself that I need to start putting myself first. So happy to hear of Jeremy's recovery.

Omg. This is me exactly !!!!!! Down to the heat exhaustion causing panic attacks because I work outside and that’s when the daily panic attacks started years ago. Dizziness started the day I thought I was having another one this past summer! Thank you!!!!!

I’m so mad at all the time and money wasted. I’m so mad at all the non-answers I put up with. I’ve been dismissed in a doctor’s office for the LAST time. Thank you, Dr. Yo for your channel, these interviews and other free resources. I’m ready.

What a great interview. It feels like Jeremy and you were speaking exactly to me I've been searching since Oct.of 2022 and finding out so many answers. I've been living with this Nervous System in Fight Or Flight, learning how to manage my feelings in a way that feels ok to me, and living in the present moment.

I totally can relate to Jeremy’s journey. It was like listening to myself speak. Can I add? I think it’s important to consider a full time Mom or Dad homemaker, wife/husband a high profile job as well. There are so many components to working all these rolls. So much responsibility from the biggest to the smallest of everything it takes to care for everyone and balance time for self. Thank you Dr. Yo for all you do. You truly are changing my life. 🙏🏽❤️

I have had the exact same symptoms from how it all started at 3am one night with horrific vertigo, to it moving to daily dizziness and panic attacks and then periods of feeling better and then it coming back …and then I found your channel. And then I went all in with the nervous system approach. I’m almost four months in and the the unresolved conflict and the trauma work along with somatic tracking are fully game on. Thank both of you!!

Yes Yoni this absolutely landed well + what a guest speaker you chose🙏🙌 Jeremy had the goods for so many that find the solution still illusive…he has a phenomenal amount of AWARENESS (which is a learned experience + practice) which for many can be the only medicine required BUT he showed us how to communicate with the nervous system in a compelling simple ….I SEE YOU fear (or whatever other feeling) + I’m going to practice being with you IN THE PRESENT where there is that chance to honour the past + future but not attach to it. Jeremy emphasised that it is a compassionate + gentle practice for rewiring the brain to FEEL SAFE (again).

Yep future and past.. Big triggers..we need a video that helps us to be in the present moment.. Future thinking causes fear and insecurities.. Past thinking brings us alot of emotions too. Depression sadness.. Fears that we held with the past...I have a harder time with the past thinking then the future thinking...😢

Hey Dr. Yo. After many years of having PPPD I’ve finally realized last night that it all started with hurry sickness from my job. I never knew that was a thing and it all makes sense now! Any ideas on how to break the “wanting to hurry” cycle with jobs and or school? I’ve been trying to stay calm but I get this feeling that I’m “behind” at my job and I need to hurry so I don’t get stuck there. It’s like I have this habit that I can’t seem to shake. Thank you for everything that you do!
@TheSteadyCoach
@TheSteadyCoach Жыл бұрын
Great insight!! 90% of the battle is the awareness that this is happening. Start practicing noticing this throughout the day. Get into your body. "What does it feel like in the moment BEFORE I start rushing?" Take a breath instead. See if you have choices other than rushing.

I loved this interview. I would mention that he said he went to Mexico City on his first trip...I laughed because the largest city in the Americas is definitely not an easy place for people with anxiety, overstimulation, the list goes on. BUT another important note when I listened to him was that there was definitely real physiological symptoms that are also being activated by additional trigger - weather changes, altitude changes, visual stimulation, etc. I just want to reiterate after this interview that dizziness as a whole is not solely caused by anxiety, but should be looked at as the top TRIGGER not the underlying pathology. I do agree 100% that anxiety etc. is the biggest trigger and what Dr. Yo helps with so much! ❤
@TheSteadyCoach
@TheSteadyCoach Жыл бұрын
Hi there! Not to mention the altitude change, that could mess with anyone (when I went in 2006, I was sick for 5 days from it!). I agree that physiological triggers are real, but I believe that all of these issues are caused by perceived danger and prediction errors, not by physical tissue damage/disease. This is not the same thing as anxiety- I HATE when people have their symptoms written off as "just anxiety." However, I just thought I'd clarify that because while this is not a "mental health" issue, I still view it as a a functional issue that is reversible once the brain does not respond to physiological triggers as though they are dangerous.

Omg. My exact symptoms. I'm good for about 6 months at a time. More tolerable than before. But I'm still looking for a reason. I will try being present but love that you always know what the next question is going to be lol. How do I do that. ? Strong correlation. POTS is a classic example of a brain prediction error. It's on my list.

This is all very interesting! I'm not sure how much of this is applicable when the conflict or problematic behaviour is coming from someone in a position of power towards you (e.g. boss, manager or supervisor in academia). Quitting is not really an option because of the effort or time already invested towards a goal, complaints aren't either because the other party has a lot more power within the institution (they bring the funding in for example in academia). Would you have any advice in that case where the conflict is external and real but the power dynamics are very skewed?

hey dr. yo i wanted to ask like i think my eyes are causing me to feel my sensations more since the past few days like i feel anything i look at isn't focused and seems to be moving a bit as well and my eyes cannot really concentrate on what im looking at and while walking through the side of my eyes it feels like everything is moving like dizzy and my eyes also feel jumpy like if i look up then want to look center they just go straight down instead of stopping to focus in the center, so should i do gaze stabilization exercises to help with this or something else? please help and how can we have our brain try relying on other systems instead of just our eyes as the main source?
