A couple of tips for a setup like this. First, when the weather is not cold or raining you can leave zippers open on the rainfly for ventilation. The zippers at the foot look like they can provide a little fresh air coming through. You could attach a loop to the side entry door to prop it open with a hiking pole, a stick, or just run a line to a tree to keep it open. Your netting will still keep away the mosquitos. Just play around with the ventilation and you'll be much more comfortable, plus opening the entry door on the rainfly will give a feeling of openness. Second, with the open flame, low to the ground stove, you might want to cook a bit farther from the tent. You don't want dry grass to flash up and burn the tent before you have a chance to extinguish the flames. I'm not stuck on one variety of your videos. I enjoy them all.

Steve, if you continue to use that type stove, pack a large sheet of aluminum foil (maybe doubled) to put underneath it. Then you can avoid any grass fires. Folded aluminum foil will take up little room in your pack but may save you!!

What the heck Steve. I’m a pregnant mom from Texas who’s bed ridden sick in my first trimester watching KZbin for my only entertainment, and now I’m hooked watching all your camping videos knowing good and well I won’t be camping anytime soon. Thanks for taking me along your adventures and for the distraction from all this miserable nausea. Appreciate it! 😅 🔊Hunker Dowwwwn! 🔊

you could 'smoke your gear' as they say in the Forces - spray the fly with grey/green paint to cover the white patches - it will probably be actually stealth then

Sharpie Markers come in DOZENS of colors , they've probably got 6-10 shades of green that you could scribble over the Tan patches. Home Depot & WalMart used to have Flat-tone Rustoleum CAMO spray paint ( but i haven't seen it much anywhere for several months ; probably a C0v!d related supply chain issue )

Really dig the longer videos lengths, Steve! Feel immersed within your adventure. 🍺😁👍🏼 I also like the idea of you shooting a ton of videos in different areas, with different set ups on your own land. Lots of content, leading to further bing viewing, and KZbin hours - watched by viewers. Hint hint!

We bought our first pop-up tent today because of you. The ease of set-up is incredible. We got a summer one. I'll be getting a good winter one too. Now to find a great woodstove like yours and coble together a stove pipe through the roof. I want to camp like Steve! Imma gonna camp like Steve and Hunker Down with a Step Two or two! STEVE, might I recommend some ideas for light weight camp food from my backpacking times that aren't the prepackaged stuff necessarily because its not all bad. Instant ramen with tiny mayo packs, packaged chicken, and some spice, instant rice with the instant tiki masala or indian food you can find in the grocery store, instant quinoa or rice packs, instant mashed potatoes with cut up pepper beef jerky. I enjoyed the patagonia instant meals (chili, bean soup, lentils) because you actually simmer them in your tiny camp stove rather than do the water in a bag thing. This sort of stuff is prepackaged nicely, is perfect for working a backpacking tier kit, and still allows for some of the ingenuity you usually like to bring. My friends have even found a few of the water in bag ones that are decent for long treks like you are saying.

I actually enjoy the Mountain House Breakfast Skillet and so does my partner, so it’s a go-to for camping and hiking. I need good coffee, breakfast, and dinner options. I’ve enjoyed making breakfast burritos or taco burritos, freezing them, and then cooking them in a skillet for any meal while camping. Super easy to let them thaw during the hike, fry them up, put on hot sauce and enjoy. I don’t want to assemble food while I’m hiking or camping. It’s more dishes, mess and I want to stay kinda clean and easy. If I’m camping at a campground in Washington, there is usually food I can pick up on my way; my campground membership in Birch Bay even has an excellent sushi bar. Lol

I always found with hexy stoves the best option to avoid a fire was to cut a small bit of turf out to sink the stove in, then fill it back in when finished. I also learnt that if you can keep the soil of the cut turf wet it’s less obvious when replaced, but that step took a few years to learn
