I'd take the Camaro 1LE. I hate american V8s, but the offerings of turbo imports is lacking, and has been for over a decade... which is why I actually refuse to buy anything newer than a decade old. If I had to pick, then the Camaro 1LE. Best track car there is, power to weight ratio is the best (excluding m2 cs). The Supra in my eyes will always be a car with an auto, which is a deal breaker, same as the electronic emergency brake... a deal breaker. The Z, seems like they did a sloppy and rush job on it, and still needs lots of work, which means reliability and consistency will be lacking. BMW offerings, are unreliable, which only Toyota can fix which results in the Supra. If it was a Toyota M2 CS, I'd take it, but it's not, it's a BMW M2 CS. Good offerings otherwise, but not for me. Dodge is not a track car, never will be, and is just straight boring muscle. Mach1 is pretty amazing, and that would be a tough decision. So, that's my 2nd pick. 3rd pick, would have to be the Supra, sadly... but, I'd have to wait a few years till the stigma of being an auto has gone away. Same thing that happened with the GTR. No one accepted it at first. Took 5-10years.

It's a ZF gearbox. Did Toyota make changes? Sure. But they did that to a huge part of all the BMW-parts as well which is why it drivers different from a Z4.

1. M2cs: (my soul felt it) 2. GR Supra: (bought a 22’ 3.0 after shopping this segment) 3. MACH1: (basically a “coyote” GT350, almost beat out the Supra) 4. Camaro SS 1LE: (amazing, previously owned 17’ V61LE, underrated platform) 5. Z: (unpopular opinion, I was hoping for a bit more. Assuming the next gen GTR improves some performance, there’s a good 100hp room to play with on this car, in my opinion) 6. Challenger: (analog muscle car, badass, it sucks one of these has to be last)

Every new sports car always has something people will complain about. I can't think of any without some kind of complaint. It's rationalizing why they don't want it, but I'm pretty sure it's because of financial reasons. When kids complain, it's just parroting what adults say. I heard a kid, probably 12 or 13, complain about the C8 for being a pretend Ferrari and having an unreliable transmission at a car meet, right in the owner's face. If Toyota made it and it's inevitably more expensive and probably slower, then people will complain about that, and people really wouldn't buy it just like the previous Supra. Then when it's discontinued, suddenly everyone will love it.

Hi, how much (if any) resistance does the auto gear stick have? If you drive with an arm on the armrest and hand resting on the gear stick is it likely to move and make unwanted changes? Or is it stiffer than it looks? Thank you.

@@llynellyn it's very light as far as the resistance but it's stiff enough to where it won't make an unwanted change. It's a great gear shift for DCT in my opinion. and plus, you have to move it to the left to doing manual mode and even then the car will let you know(by the way it's responding) to upshift or downshift. Additionally, the parking button sits on top of the gear shift knob so hopefully you don't press it while driving because that would be a rookie move in itself but other than that I wouldn't worry about it.
