2024 Toyota Grand Highlander review by The Straight Pipes. The Toyota Grand Highlander Limited is putting down 265 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque from a 2.4L Turbo 4 cylinder. At $57,945 CAD, would you take it over the Toyota Highlander, Lexus TX?

You're looking at 60 grand starting price after tax and financing at these current interest rates. That's almost $1000 a month. And that's if you can even get one due to Toyota making people wait years for any new car. What's more likely is what Yuri says where they end up selling a "used" one with 5000km on the dash for 20 grand over MSRP and you're looking at paying what was an average Canadian mortgage 5 years ago.

Our family test drove a Grand Highlander and we really liked it, it was a lot bigger than our Pallisade, we also loved the heated and cooled seats in the rear as well. The one we had for the test drive was the Platinum Hybrid Max. It’s kinda weird to say but the power from that motor is kinda interesting, like coming from a Palisade, it felt like weird to have such a big car move so quickly 😂. Plus I also for comfortable in the back at 5’11. Someone recently complained about the panels vibrating but I think it’s cos Toyota switched to Aluminum on the doors, hood and trunk on the Grand Highlander compared to using steel on their other cars

Low entry height, my 5 year old can stand straight up. My 3 year old can get in herself. I’ll be in a SUV again later (GX550 or LC) but for now the minivan is king for me.

At least in the United States, Limiteds have power folding mirrors. There’s an auto button on the driver’s door so when you lock the doors the mirrors fold. Also you can zoom in on any corner of the surround view when in reverse so you can see what’s happening at each wheel regarding a curb or similar object. Just simply touch whatever corner you want to zoom in on. And as for the braking, it would help to make sure PDA is off and set the collision mitigation to late.

More SUV's should shift toward being disguised minivans if their manufacturers want to improve sales, because the people still want those minivan benefits.

Very much enjoyed this video. I’m actually happy you guys didn’t go to hawaii because no other reviewer that I’ve seen mentioned some of those important negatives. They were too busy shillin like a villain. Real question: do you think there’s any possibility Toyota will do a slightly off road/adventure trim of this? Or will it push it too close to the sequoia? They already have almost the same ground clearance, and this thing is way more practical for passengers and cargo. Seems like the sequoia only wins for towing and power (albeit in a heavier vehicle).

Sure, these are what sells, but I feel like 90% of people buying large SUVs for family duty would be better off with a minivan, but they don't want to be seen in a minivan. Toyota should put the normal shifter in the Hybrid Max trim.

I have a Grand Highlander Limited (Moonlight) just like the one in this video and my side windows fold when I lock my car. The button to ensure that happens is inside the car on the drivers side.

If this is a Limited trim, it's supposed to have power folding side mirrors. Clearly seen also on the chart in the video. -as a matter of fact, Limited trim is pretty full of what top Platinium trim has but 360 camera, panoramic sunroof and few other things.

"auto-folding" means different things to different manufacturers. For Hyundai, it means it automatically folds when you lock. For Toyota, it simply means there's a button that can do it for you.

@@funnyfarm299on the tundra there is a three position switch. Mirrors out, auto, mirrors folded. If you leave it in auto they fold when you lock it. I don’t know if this has the same switch. If it does it may have been in the first position.
@mertersun

@@funnyfarm299 In Toyota, you need to activate AUTO button next to power folding button on drivers side arm rest. Then, mirrors would be folded automatically when locked up. If you ever fold them manually, it turns off auto function and dont fold mirrors automatically when locked, which i suppose the case here.

No auto folding mirror when you locked it? Is it usual for that price range in US? In Indonesia, you always get auto folding mirror above $15k price range. My dad's Toyota vios got one too.

Because it has a Toyota badge, this is the best car made in the world. The frame will last at least 30 years. Toyota could just put a phoenix badge on this.

I just bought this week for business purposes. I love it!!! I never thought I will love to drive Toyota.. but this car it’s comfortable like a s-class almost!!!! The 4-cylinder engine it’s pretty powerful for that big body car. A lot of room inside of the car. I totally recommend this car!

That safety feature where it brakes for you is there Proactive Driving Assist that brakes in order too back you away from a car supposedly. its on my 23 corolla hatch and i turned it off its too touchy and not consistent. and plus it doesnt tell me if my brakes on are on or not like it does here. I would never use it cause it does form a bad habit

I still prefer the people carrier /minivan/ Siena. Sliding doors are just perfect for children and their equipment. You will find out soon. EAs what other reason you would need a 7/8 seater SUV other than moving people. Buttons and buttons, and buttons, nice buttons and knobs. Like you are in button heaven. And on the top a nice gear shifter. Nice one from you. I really liked the wardrobe shot. Why didn't you put the coin up. I guess it's not a Rolls.
