Can't describe how happy I am that you decided to react to OFF music. I and all 11 other OFF fans knew it was never going to win a popularity poll so this is the most pleasant of surprises. The boss themes are all brilliant but would recommend Unreasonable Behavior and Windows Licking. Windows Licking has always hit me as the kind of ambient version of Peper Steak. More relaxed but equally as weird and out of place in how cold and plastic the world of OFF feels.

OFF is one of those few games that is perfect in what it's trying to accomplish, which is absolute immersion. When I played this game for the first time many years ago it really marked me, and so were the other thousands of people that played it back in the day, and what I find fascinating is the amount of inspiration it gives to so many artists even today; even Toby Fox himself was inspired by OFF to create parts of Undertale. I don't think OFF would be as jaw-dropping as it is if it didn't have this beautifully made soundtrack, but I also don't think this soundtrack would fit anywhere else, they are meant to go together, and god do they make a wonderful team. Alias Conrad Coldwood truly is a master of his work and was somehow able to envision the perfect mood for the perfect videogame.

We got OFF!- One of the more unknown RPGs that not a lot of people have played considering that it’s such an old and obscure game. The translated version hailing back in 2013, with the original French version going further back to 2008. It’s an experience to play it through from beginning to end. Black and white art contrasting against colorful backgrounds, with the art being as eerie as the music itself. The world of OFF is as bright as the colors, each of them representing certain aspects of life. (The last zone being an exception.)

I think Avatar Beat, back when I watched KZbin let's-plays of it, is one of the reasons I'm into drum and bass today. The story is so mysterious and the atmosphere is so errie, and the game's music perfectly reflects that. The only way i can really describe Avatar Beat in words, is like the FINAL song ever played in a hollow and empty world, inhabitants all killed by one man, and you are left to (optionally) fight him, knowing that fighting him will only result in the world not being completely empty, not everyone being brought back or something, just one less person murdered in his attempts to purify the world, and that's fitting considering that's exactly the context of where it plays, one last hopeless final boss fight with the character you formerly saw as a noble protagonist, now unveiled as a villain.

Pepper Steak is my favorite OFF music, and I feel like it captures the entire feel of the game into one song. It's strange and somewhat off-putting, yet simultaneously oddly upbeat and enjoyable. It's catchy enough to jam to but unhinged enough to feel like you'll slowly go crazy if you listen to it for too long. It's the kind of song that could only work in a game like OFF. Also, as a whole, OFF feels like a half-coherent fever dream that somehow makes *sense* despite the random ass nonsense it's made up of. The kind of dream really strange, kind of scary, yet extremely intriguing, and you don't want to wake up b/c you want to know wtf is going to happen next. Then, once you do wake up, you scramble to write everything down before you forget.

I'm a little late to the party, but seeing OFF be more recognized again probably makes a lot of people (me included) really happy. OFF's soundtrack is honestly on another level and I haven't heard anything quite like it in any other video game before. Alias Conrad Coldwood honestly did an amazing job creating music that perfectly fits and compliments the style of the game itself. I don't think OFF would be as successful as it is today without it's OST. Again I'm late to the video but some other suggestions from this OST would be tracks like "Flesh Maze Tango" "Windows Licking" "Unreasonable Behavior" and because I think it would show just how intense the OST can be "Endless Hallway" is another very good example. As for some other OST recommendations, I've seen a lot of requests for the Lisa series which has a fascinating OST as well. But one of my personal favorites has to be the Hylics series. Both the in-game OST and the official albums outside the game are great music. And like with OFF, Hylics' music style fits perfectly for what the game is like.
