Maybe try your 30T chainring with the 18T cog? I see more cogs and chainrings in your future. Single speed is great for winter also.

Try an oval chainring with the SS...i personally love ovals especially on SS bikes.

You could always go with a 29t chainring(seen a few) for a slightly harder gear.

Eric, have you ever considered putting a dyno on one of these bigger single speeds? Then you could have both brakes AND do bar spins all day long. Edit: as KomoonKH pointed out, I mean a gyro not a dyno.

​@@KoroWerks all you need is a long enough rear hose and a hollow headset compression method.. easy peasy plus no lose of power or increase of maintenance that you get with gyros

​​@@KoroWerks as the gyro is for the rear brake, and the hose on there is already long enough barspins as displayed at the end of the build video and this one 😉

@@OLI-vx1md they absolutely make gyros for 2 cables, and you can use hybrid brakes if you want the modulation of hydraulic. It could be a fun build, and you could do INFINITE bar spins with no limits due to cable or hose length with one. That's all I'm saying.
