I bought the X right before it sold out this year. I have put over 3,500 miles on it in about 6 months. Only issues have been 1 broken spoke. And a carbon fork that wasn't up to par, Luis at Poseidon got me a new fork rapidly even during these Covid times.

Really thinking about an X. I like this Redwood but I already have a Surly Ogre to fill the slim-fat bikepacking rig role that is also my daily commuter. Though I would like something a little less hefty, but not the road bike I already have an rarely ride.

I too bought an X right before they sold out. Love it! Only change I made was going to an 11-36 cassette due to being in NJ and not needing the 46 gear and wanted to even out the spacing to only a 2 tooth change on the lower cogs.

LOL this was actually one of the best Doug Demuro impersonations I've seen. Not only did you nail his diction and the way he speaks, but you even took the time to mimic his physical gestures, his kneeling, and even his camera angles. The only thing that could've been done better was to put more energy into the "THIS" at the beginning. Nice job!

FYI - You need to use an external routed dropper post on the Redwood. The cable routes down the outside of the seat tube, there are cable guides for it. But then up internally routed in the down tube. I was told by Luis@Poseidon that fully internal routed droppers would not work. I've got the PNW Coast Suspension/Dropper w/External routing on the Redwood and loving it.

Any shimano hollowtech, non-dub, mountain cranks should work. Alivio up through XTR have 73mm long 24mm wide spindles with external cup BB interfaces options.
