Ashoka knew from her H2H battle with Vader at the Sith Temple when she knocked part of his mask off and she saw who was under the helmet. She had sensed it earlier in Rebels, but confirmed it then.

Apart from everything mentioned with Tarkin noticing similarities over the years, I think the most obvious evidence that he knew would be the conversation on the Death Star where Vader freely acknowledges Obi-Wan as his “old master” and Tarkin replying with “you, my friend, are all that is left of their ancient religion” or some such. Seems to me that he knew that whoever was Obi-Wan’s apprentice was under the black armor, and they seemed to be talking as if it was a pretty openly known thing between the two.

Since Reva can clearly read minds/sense thoughts, it seems entirely plausible to me that she could have pieced some bits of information together and deduced Vader's real identity but then kept that knowledge to herself, just like Tarkin; only revealing it to Obi-wan when she sensed that he himself did not know, in order to further rattle Obi-wan. Before the series even started I had theorized that Vader would be the one to end up killing off Reva, though I thought it would be more due to her "stepping on his toes," so to speak in hunting/targeting HIS quarry. But now I feel like Vader finding out somehow that she knows that he's Anakin is a much better reason for him killing her.

I thought she could have pieced it together by reading Owens mind and later Obiwans but someone pointed out to me that reading Owens mind would have led her to Luke and that he knew Obiwan. I think she could have just pieced things together on her own though, once you have a few key pieces of information it's not too hard to figure out. Basically say Reva knew that Anakin was from Tatooine and who recruited him/served as his master, what kind of person he was ie a rebellious hothead and about his close relationship with Chancellor palpatine, logical deduction could easily determine that the mysterious black armored warrior at Sidious' side is Anakin. I'm not trying to say this is exactly how it happened I'm just setting an example of how it could. Be interesting to see how episode three plays out.

Thrawn definitely knew, according to the cannon novel Thrawn: Alliances. There were a couple of comments Thrawn made that made me suspect he knew who Vader was, as I read the book. Late in the story, it was confirmed when Thrawn actually said something to Vader, and Vader basically shut him up, in a big hurry.

@TK421 Alliances was the second book of its own trilogy. The Ascendancy trilogy is a prequel trilogy. If you want to read everything in chronological order, go with the Ascendancy trilogy, first.

The reason he stopped pushing is because he surmised that Anakin Skywalker was truly dead and nothing of him remained in the man before him. Iirc he says to Vader, "Skywalker really is dead, isn't he?" And Vader replies, "Yes, he is". Thrawn let it drop because he got the answer he was looking for. As Yoda put it, Anakin was consumed by Vader.

Thank you for saying Obi-Wan and Yoda knew he was Vader. They literally watched a recording of him being named Darth Vader. They just thought he had succumbed to his wounds on Mustafar. It was nice to see Ewan McGreggor’s face react to the news about “Vader” before he heard “Anakin”. That was all he needed to hear.

1:59-2:13 doesn't make sense. The Emperor never intended for Vader to wind up in a life support suit. Had things gone to plan, everyone would've immediately recognized Anakin Skywalker was Darth Vader.

Yeah, Palpatine and Dooku wanted to make Anakin the face of the Republic and cement that the Jedi betrayed him as well. Anakin wouldn't have worn a helmet AND no efforts were made to disguise Anakin's identity, at all, until he lost to Obi-Wan

Hearing Vader's name again would have made Obi-Wan' thoughts go to the Battle om Mistafar. Typical PTSD symptom, thus Reva would have easily gotten Anakin's name ftom Obi-Wan as he thought Vader was dead. Also being in battle with a force user may have triggered a PTSD episode.

Since Quinlan's name was dropped, there could also be the possibility that Reva shares his psychometry abilities. She could have been spared and converted to the dark side specifically for that very useful skill, but along the way having touched some object of Vader's and read his memories.

She seems more driven than the rest of the inquisitors- I could see her researching Vader as a way to get in his good graces and coming upon the information that might lead her to realize the connection. I guess it depends on if its more widely-known or if its a piece of information shes turned up and kept in her "back pocket" just in case she needs it.

Considering Darth Vader was such an infamous member of the Empire, it strains credibility that Obi-Wan wouldn't have heard his name in 10 years. Sure, Obi-Wan's been laying low, but he kept up with current events enough to know about the existence of the Inquisitors.

I think we're gonna get another flashback of Reva at the temple during Order 66, (They wouldn't cast actors, do sets and CGI and the whole 9 yards just for what little we got. There's more coming.) and in it we'll see her witnessing Anakin killing Jedi and younglings, as well as being addressed as "Lord Vader," very possibly by Palpatine himself. And as I believe that the Grand Inquisitor's wound isn't fatal, now he, too, knows about Anakin/Vader, and that could add some nice new nuances to the story as well. I'm freakin' LOVIN' it!

I'm sure it will be explained later in the Kenobi series how Reva knows about Anakin/Vader. What was weird was the notion that Obi-Wan was surprised that Anakin was still alive. He saw the hologram of the temple attack with the dialogue 'Lord Vader bring peace to the empire' (or something like that) and then Yoda said 'the boy you trained is gone consumed by this vader'. The only way he would not know was if he had cut himself off from all galactic news on Tatooine.

Something that I never realized that I wanted until the Jedi Survivor trailer was for multiple different schools to be set up by different surviving Jedi. They would each have their own identity and would favor a lightsaber style, often the one their founder used. For one thing, this lets each Jedi in the Galactic Civil War Era important such as Cal and Ezra. More importantly though, is that it provides a way to kind of skirt around the whole debacle that happened with Luke's school in the sequels. Plus, it would honestly make sense for surviving Jedi to not want to consolidate all into one organization again. That way even when one school is wiped out by a student turned to the dark side, it won't end in a time of darkness.

However, I could get on board with a flash grown Spa'arti Revan clone (I would rather clone Bastilla. I am solid on this thinking until proven otherwise, as his posture is all Revan. As a martial artist I can instantly recognize one person's movements from another after witnessing them fight or move. Just like in my profession as a flooring installer as I walk through any building commercial or residential I notice those little things that can or may be an issue.

I was thinking the younglings would be in their own sector of the temple. They were likely initially fleeing anakin & ran through the various scenes from the others flashbacks. I don’t like the mind reading theories but it’s the easiest plausible way of telling it. Whenever someone’s overacting & too overzealous on the dark side - they’re usually a spy lol (fulcrum & I’m the spy dude from sequels). I think she knew outright because she was at the temple & seen what he’d done first hand. It’s also this reason I think the grand inquisitor being a willing convert would’ve known as hell have prob felt anakins presence in the decade or so of training. Tarkin & thrawn would’ve both worked it out as they knew him before & both were smart enough. & obviously mace windu (if he survived).

I think there are a few possible ways Reva could know Anakins identity. The obvious one that I'm surprised people didn't pick up on is that she probed Owens mind and gained enough info to form a suspicion which Obiwan confirmed. Edit: That doesn't even make sense 😅 if she probed Owen she would know about Luke and Obiwan duh thanks dude man for pointing that out The other possibility is that she's a plant by palpatine to keep an eye on the inquisitors and perform personal missions for him and bringing in Kenobi for Vader to finally have his revenge would be of considerable value to palpatine so either he told her because it would help her complete her mission and could easily kill her once Kenobi was captured. Or she already knew. The only people in the empire who knew were people under Palpatines protection and I don't think that should be overlooked in regards to Revas knowledge. If she knew Vader's Identity for a long time she must have been protected by the emperor himself, it's the only way she could have survived in my opinion.

I never quite understood the importance of the need for Vader's identity as Anakin to remain a secret was so important. The only reason people didn't know that Vader was Anakin was due to his mask and armor, but the only reason for that was due to his loss to Kenobi. He sees as a hologram of the emperor calling Anakin Lord Vader, so he does know for sure. Although at the time he was preoccupied by the destruction of the Jedi Order, Order 66 and Anakin's betrayal to really process his sith name.

My theory is that Reva knows because she intends to be more than just an inquisitor. She is power hungry, she doesn’t behave like an inquisitor or a former Jedi. She behaves like a Sith. My theory is that she’s been subtly acquiring information she can use to win favor with Vader and Palpatine so that she can eliminate Vader and replace him as Palpatine’s apprentice.

@TheGreat610 if you recall, she makes a comment that she found the connection between Bail Organa and Obi-Wan in the Jedi archives. As far as I know, Palpatine heavily controlled access to the archives, and only granted access to Vader and the Grand Inquisitor. So she’s either sneaking in, or she has more power/status than it appears on the surface. Either way, if she found the Organa-Kenobi connection, she likely found Vader’s true identity there, if not saw the same holovid that Obi did where Palpatine christen Anakin as Darth Vader. She doesn’t have to beat Vader in raw power to kill him and replace him as apprentice, she just has to be more cunning. We can tell she’s smarter than most of her peers, and far more cunning than any of them. I firmly do not believe that she is the weakest/least of the inquisitors. She wouldn’t be Third Sister if she was.

I really didn't like the idea of her knowing this information :/ so far, only some of the "big names" in Star Wars knew who Vader was and survived and now some noob Inquisitor knows information like this..... Even making it that this (in my opinion bad, boring and annoying character) is actually reason how Obi-wan learnt about Vader is even worse. They could create so many better ways for Obi-wan to learn the truth, instead of trying to make a bad character look important for the story.

@@submarine6410 just go watch episode 3 again- it’s after the Vader slaughters the younglins so when yoda and obi watch the video to see what happens and obi can’t believe it and yoda is like anakin has turned to the dark side- it’s 1 hour and 43 into the movie The reason obi was so shocked at that part in the show is cuz he thought anakin had died on mustafar and she confirmed that Vader didn’t didn’t and she could prove it cuz she knew his true identity and that he is the one hunting him down.

Only the Grand Inquistor knew Vaders identity because he was a Jedi Temple Gaurd, and quickly fell to the darkside. It is explained well in Rebels. On the other hand, all the other inquistors are implied to be far too young (kids so young they had little memory of the jedi) to recognize who Anakin had become, Reva should not know Vader is Anakin. Lazy choice by the writers to try to explain how Obi-Wan finds out Anakin is Vader. Obi-Wan knew that he didn't kill Vader on Mustafar, because after the events of Revenge of the Sith Darth Vader appears on the galactic stage as the Empire's muscle. Obi-Wan would have been able to put this together without needing Reva to explain it. The whole show is just a mess, ruining the implied events between Revenge of the Sith and a New Hope.
