I've never heard of this Sith Lord. Which is no surprise as his name doesn't really resonate through the galactic history. And I think it is for that same reason that it is highly unlikely for anyone to uncover his body any time soon. Legends will, eventually, continue, and thanks to people such as yourself retelling his story, Darth Glavek may finally be found and brought back to life.

I've heard of this Sith lord twice. First time was a few years back, in an old republic-era fanfic, and I had assumed that it was an original character by that fanfic's writer. The second time was more recent, in SWTOR, when I unimtentionally got to witness for a few minutes a few folks roleplaying, one of them making up a background story of how Darth Glovic was their master. Mentioning that I 'read that fanfic too', resulted in two of them filling me in on how Glovic was actually Legends material.

His story runs in close similarity to the Sith Lord Karness Muur who wound up in a similar state of suspension, awakening several times over long millennia, briefly witnessing pivotal moments in galactic history, particularly that of the Skywalker family line and also touching on the Legacy era where glavic also touched down.

To be "fair", Disney missed A LOT of chances in their sequels. Even simple things like showing a newly formed Republic dealing with the neo-imperial first order, letting Ben/Kylo be an ideal motivated villain who genuinely believes the empire was a better system, giving us a reunion of Han, Chewie, Leia and Luke at least once, not undoing the original trilogy achievements and character development, properly passing the torch to the next generation, actually exploring Finn's view on First Order slavery, introducing the concept of Holocrons and their functions to movie-only audiences, giving us something new instead of a re-do of the OT etc.

His arrogance drove him to seek out the planet, his temper kept his people under his heel and devolved them into savages, and his stasis kept him out of action for centuries. I saw another comment mention how the one thing he could pull from the planet and his experiences is a sense of clarity. He could turn his back on the dark side and the light and start anew. Seeing how negatively his actions impacted him and his people would be a wake up call to ease up on the dark side but not cross over into the light. Sort of like what kylo wanted to do with rey, but, obviously better. Solo and Rogue Run had no "jedi vs sith" and they were both still pretty mid. Book of boba fett didn't have jedi vs sith and it wasn't exactly a grand success? What killed the movies was disney trying to make it's own neat and clear cut little universe where all the extended lore and interesting stuff like the more unexplored parts of the universe just got cut out.

A Sith who lived for over 3100 years? If only he were one of the cool or badass Sith though... Someone like Tulak Hord, Ragnos,, Exar Kun, Malgus, or even Bane- really is depressing that a subordinate holds the record. The longest living Sith Lord actually lived for over 7000 years. Karness Muur's spirit survived within his own Talisman until 137 ABY. Second longest was Marka Ragnos, for over 5000 years until 14 ABY, and then third was Exar Kun for over 4000 years until 11 ABY.

It would be one thing if he, somehow, turned his body into the Talisman- I could consider him as having lived for 7K(+) years then, but just being a spirit tied to an object doesn't count as living in my book. Glovic actually kept his body and lived, actually lived, for 3K+ years. Muur just made a system so that he could come back from the dead, not so he could continue living.

In some ways, with the continued stasis sessions, doesn't he remind us of Allanon the last Druid from the Shanarra novels? Conversely, in Asian mythology, you generate massive amounts of chi/ki energy by the continuous cultivation and meditation. If he ever awakens again, he could be the last living being on a dead world, or as likely he might be so powerful he could actually use the force to affect events in other star systems.

Legends content was just so much better. Some of the greatest writers and artists did comic, graphic novels and novels on star wars over the years.I mean Timothy zahn really hit it out of the books but so did dark horse comics and the whole novel line all the way up to the end of abeloth with luke and darth krayt which tied into dark horses series with cade skywalker. Out of all the books the one that made it the longest from phantom to the end was r2d2. He was in the books with cade skywalker. Luke was a force ghost yet a reactivated r2 could talk to him. Which in a way made me think being around Jedi for so long made r2 sentient and attuned to the force. It's a sound theory. Out of all the droids r2 was potentially the coolest most stubborn and smart droidnout there. He perceived things differently than others. At least it seemed that way to me.
