Great demo guys, thanks. I think the pedal sounds good enough to try for the price so I ordered one today. Just trying to find something cheap but half way decent to goose my Wampler Belle a bit. Trying these less expensive clones is a good way to find a good pairing I think. And finding videos like this helps a lot in making choices too. Thank you

I JUST got the Queen Bee, and IMHO, it's the most "tube amp" sounding pedal, I've ever played, and furthermore, reminds me of my Monoprice Stage Right 15 watt, all tube amp... Even the gain staging... The MP-15 might not get QUITE that distorted, but it's close, lol...

One of the things I love about this pedal is for once you don’t need the gain on full to get a great fat sound from the pedal. Just a sold power cord or two 😜

Do the stack attack and the enchanted tone when u can. Stack attack is phenomenal, sounds like a $200 dumble type drive, its got 3 different levels of compressor on it. The enchanted tone i havent tried yet.

I love Caline stuff... I'd have my Pure Sky today, but I live in Nashville, and we're essentially snowed in, lol... Maybe tomorrow... But this pedal sounds great! I've got a Joyo Baatsin which has 9 popular overdrives (great "sampler" pedal to see what you like) and it DOES have a "Sweet Baby" built in, but I don't care too much for it... On the Baatsin it comes off "fizzy" and a lil "spatty", almost like a fuzz... Which I don't dig... I've got probably 15 overdrive pedals and not a single fuzz, lol... But I'm kinda talkin about a clone of a clone of a clone, lol... Great demo, guys...

I got one, and it's exactly like my Joyo Sweet Baby. Perhaps a bit less compressed, a bit 'crunchier', a hair less high end, and a hair less low-end. Any differences could be down to component variance. Good product. Makes your big amp sound like a low-watt Valco/Supro. Pretty well nails that 'Whole Lotta Love' thang. Great, now I'm imagining Robert Plant in the hotel with the groupies wanting to find out if he really has a 'whole lotta' or not... Maybe that's why so many hotel rooms got trashed... rockers not living up to their on-stage bravado!

The Fano?? They are their own P90s...I think it just says "Fano proprietary designed and spec'd P-90's"...but I really like them a LOT...its become one of my favourite guitars...sound and plays really good!!

Appears to be a Sweet Honey clone, which is a Valco emulator. I really like my Joyo Sweet Baby, which is a clone. Play "Whole Lotta Love" to know if it sounds like a Valco. My Sweet Baby can double as a pre-amp (via the Send Return jack). Rather wide frequency spectrum comes through. Very touch sensitive like a real pre-amp. Very quiet operation, too.

It could be a Honey Bee clone, too. Someone commented on Amazon saying it behaves more like a Honey Bee than a Sweet Honey. They're similar pedals, but I guess the Honey Bee has a looser low end and is generally a bit darker, and has a bit less gain. Caline's marketing implies this is the same as their CP-84 Honeycomb Tone. And the old marketing for that was cryptic: "our take on the infamous sweet spot overdrive". That could imply the Keeley Sweet Spot. All three of the possible origin pedals are in the same ballpark...

Clones are never as good as original but in a pinch they get the job done. But is it really so hard to not steal designs ??? So many ways to reach the goal find your own path, the ground is softer on the less trodden road.

The clone thing is beyond stupid. Unless it was invented in the last century it is a clone. We are dealing with analog tech used in specific way. It has built in limitations of what you can do with it to make dirt pedals. There is only 4 basic ways to make an OD and only 3 to make a Fuzz. Everything is nothing but tweaking one of these blueprints by changing values of parts. If a mid 70's Tonebender is pro than trust me in comparison the Caline is high end gourmet! An original Fuzz Face only has 9 parts on it's circuit board!!! WTF ...the Caline is a masterpiece in comparison. I have 80 pedals that I actually use. Some I paid $300.00 USD and more. I have a germanium Fuzz Face I paid $25.00 USD. Does it sound less pro than my gourmet Fuzz. NO different yes but not better. We got to stop using our EYES to listen with.

It is a WTF day ...some 3 months after this was posted and I had a chance to play a friends vintage BOSS OD-1 ...OUCH! The first Op-Amp OD ever made and the similarity is undeniable! The most amusing thing all the pedals this is getting compared to are painted orange. The whole thing is like some 'in' joke :-)

Great demo, as always, guys. Regarding those manufacturers having words with you: fuck 'em. Seriously. If your pedal is that much better, it should speak for itself. Sorry for the strong language, but stuff like that (trying to dictate to you guys what pedals to demo) genuinely pisses me off.

I think they do have a point...there work is being ripped off...but there is a difference (in my opinion anyways) between saying that something that you cloned is actually your original idea or concept (like Vertex did a few years back with the BBE wah) and actually stating that this is based on whatever pedal its copying - I think if you say "this is based on..." you actually acknowledge that its a clone and people know what its based on...and I do think its a way for people to try out these 'boutique' pedals without long waiting lists and crazy second hand prices...the guitar gear scene is such a brand driven scene that I think if people like these 'clones' they will...or a lot of them will eventually buy the 'real thing' ...we talked about that a bit in our next podcast and I think we will make a video about it too!

if this bee pedal sounds in person thru a clean hotrod deville like it does on your demo . dont buy a sweet honey . i have one it is always on my board .dont buy honey bee niether .save ur money and buy this queen bee. we all know pedals are way over priced. the queen bee is a fair deal for a change.dont believe that talk about better parts.its like c.t.s. pots they go bad all the time. the queen bee sounds better than my m.p. sweet honey,on this show anyway.
