which one? Bourbonnaise? You have to budget extra days for an over the ocean trip so if all goes well with the flying tubes, we'll have a day to ourselves in Lyon, and I will have every intention to go shaving soap huntin', the more obscure and French the better...

Well I hope they did, but what else did the expect to happen? They were the attys from July to end Jan., the lien frivolous or not was filed in Dec., they didn't even know it was on the title until I told them [which I only found out from some local buy-your-house vulture "helping out" with an email to me cc'd to every email I've ever known including my dead mother-in-law]. Saying you had no legal impetus to withhold from a contractor proven to be snake-y's not good enough, saying "they would've just filed for their whole bill" isn't good enough, if case law is bulletproof on your side (and I've no doubt they're right about that) you could've just told the guy "go ahead and file your lien, you're still only getting only what's on this check and you'll be paying my legal expenses, too", and played chicken with the $20k cashier's check. He'd have given in. They're a very prestigious local firm, they need to do better. Surely I'll get something, but I very much doubt net enough to cover the huge monthly burden of an apt we should've been out of long ago, plus the -$16k pissed away to their services as they were led around by the nose by the lowest level adjuster that can be on your case, the field guy. I think they saw big billings and thought easy case, being as they deal with insurance stuff a lot, but this was probably their first 1st party case vs a big insurer, and they aren't kids, those are two attys in their 30s. Can't wait to go to TI, I hope my wife's phone works well for the translating! I'll have to prepare some pre-interview stuff and run it by actual French people on Fiverr to get going in the right direction (I can just record their answers and pay them again to tell me what the hell they - eloquently - said) ;-)

thank u! I am certainly quick, dunno if a top tier skill guy, though...look @ Gary Haywood, he is a professional barber so certainly that helps, but he's a lot better with the blade. What I'm most proud of is that I don't give any thought as to which hand the razor is in and when, so I'd say my expertise has peaked due to the low ceiling of motor skill limitations, but it is all second nature within those confines.

I have the cheaper version chef knife from Sabatier, it was verry cool until my father in law decided to use the tip as screw driver, my first true chef knife. I still keep it in the drawer. I have Tojiro kiritsuke as a gift from my brother, much cooler, but i still get sad when i look at the tip of the old one, it takes a verry good edge and is verry nimble.

cool, I'm looking forward to using them, and I will "come in hard" with the wife and children about the respect of these tools. If they want to make a Federal case out of that and insist to use the continue to use the garbage just to win some silly fight that tools respect matters to much to me, I'm good with that. I'll use 'em and they can use garbaaag. You should use and care for a tool as its maker intended, that isn't too much to ask, and the more passion the maker had in the creation, the more respect required to the tool. I must say, the balance of the knife was immediately noticed, vs my various marques Solingen knives that all died in the fire it feels better in that regard for my hand.
