GREAT JOB! I practice the SUN style but like the format and the way the form flows great for structure, balance and Qi practice.

Thanks so much, Nate! I appreciate all your help and expertise in training Monty. As you can see in the video (especially my shorts), he's a great Tai Chi dog. 😆 You and your KZbin channel were instrumental in making Monty a wonderful dog.

Been in search of a tai chi teacher since I stopped training in aikido due to a hip replacement many years ago. I found her. Susan is a wonderful teacher. You can see how wonderful her tai chi is here. Her on line teaching matches her tai chi.

Just letting folks know, I will be splitting this video into two parts and reposting: Chen Warm up and Chen form. So if you see a repeat, you will know what and why. I need to change the music for monetization so will have to repost the video. 🙂

that was great, thanks for sharing:). I've done mostly yang long form and it's great trying this. In a way, the principles, experience and awareness are more important than the specific movements.

Thank you so much. EXACTLY!! The principles apply to all styles of forms and the awareness is what is most important. You are spot on!

There are so many forms of tai chi, can you please suggest, which one is good for whole body health and longitivity.
@InternalTaiChi Жыл бұрын
There are so many styles! It can get confusing. All Tai Chi is good for whole body, health and longevity when performing well with proper principles of movement in place. I would suggest you try different styles, and you will certainly find one that resonates with you. That is the one you should do! You can follow along this Chen style video, and tomorrow I will be posting a Sun Style follow along. A lot of people like the Sun style because it is a higher stance and easier on the joints. For me personally it also tends to generate a lot of Qi. I also practice a different kind of tai chi called Wu Ji Jing Gong Tai Chi and it is a real Qi builder! I guess it’s just all about exploring and listening to your body. If you do so, you will discover a form that resonates with you. One last thing to think about: Qigong is also a great whole body, health and longevity exercise. You do not have to do Tai Chi in order to get all of the benefits. Qigong does just as much. I practice Qigong every single day. It is accessible, effective, and a joyful practice. Thank you for the great question. I hope my comments helped you.

Why there is other exercises missing in warm up like push up , pull ups , sit ups , core crunches , squats , wrist strengthening ?
@InternalTaiChi11 ай бұрын
Hi Logan. Tai Chi and Qigong takes another approach altogether. In fact, we see those "hard" type exercises as you mentioned as a contraindication to opening up the body and finding strength in softness. It is hard to describe in a typed response. I think if you watch more of my videos you will begin to better understand the context of Tai Chi as a "soft" exercise that reaps incredible benefits. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching.
