@emikookime18493 жыл бұрын
@Fairy Animations I think they meant don’t bend your legs too early. As in keep them straight until you land. Some people bend their legs to prep for landing prior to touching the ground, and that’s incorrect form. Legs should bend as you’re landing, but not be noticeable bent in the air. Right before landing legs should be mostly straight but not locked (obviously this doesn’t apply to every skill) and then bend as you land.

I know my friend once got an exception because she had recently gotten her ears pierced and couldn’t take them out yet, but they were also super tiny non-flashy studs that were similar to her skin tone. This was also a very low-level competition, and she had to tell each judge at each event. THe next competition they didn’t let it fly though and she just took the automatic deduction on each event. Also-no makeup is allowed lol. At least not any noticeable makeup. No nail polish either. And I know some places require your hair to not reach past the nape of your neck too. The rules def differ where you are and your level of competition.

Hey The Talko- thanks for covering this! I was a competitive gymnast back in the day and I remember the grueling work out regimens (4 days a week for 4 hours). But you do what you gotta do to make it to the top. Did you know that to improve a gymnast flexibility, like getting perfectly straight splits, sometimes coaches sit on top of you while you're in the splits to apply more pressure, in an effort to hyper-extend your splits? It's true! Gymnastics is not for wimps!

I personally think that having to spend 1,000-500 just to get the judges to admit that they were wrong is absolutely ridiculous, just because Gymnasts spend $302.39 and above for their costumes, $35,000-50,000 to compete, travel, and coaching. I would think spending $35, 302-50,302 is enough to spend without adding 1,000 and 500 after that.

The undergarment deduction was a surprise to me. My daughter is 2 years in competitive gymnastics in Canada. I wonder how close the rules are country to country and what level they start getting more strict with them. Something to look into for sure. My daughter is level 7 at 9 years old and in Aspire 1 here in Ontario, the Aspire is geared towards top athletes in the province, I'm guessing that would include more scrutiny with the rules. Thank you so much for your video. I have subscribed to your channel, i like your content, very valuable.

When it comes to legs, angles matter. in split jumps, legs must be 180° or more. 12. Only 2 people each country can qualify for finals. 13. Bring your own shampoo.
