I went to high school with this dude. Haven’t talked to him since. Played football with him, even then he was a different breed of dude. A little off, smart, tough as nails. The real deal.

Well…this was freaking interesting. Welcome home frogman. I once got scammed in a used car deal by a first generation Serbian American who served in the army in Iraq, and then later owned a weed extracts company in Denver. I had flown in from Texas to buy the car and drive it back. He had lied to me about a fresh head gasket that he had a receipt for… The head gasket was actually blown, but I trusted the papers that he gave me and his word instead of checking the coolant myself. That was the second car deal where I either got scammed, or there was an attempted scam by an Eastern European guy. The other guy was Slovenian…

As someone who has never served I have a thoroughly unimportant general question about the military. It seems that in the last 15 or 20 years, in press conferences the military has started mispronouncing “military cache.” They are pronouncing it as kaShā (which would be spelled cachet and means respected or admired). Cache should be pronounced cash. Weapons cache, computer cache. I find it embarrassing for the country when a General mispronounces the word in a press conference. Once again I know this unimportant and I’m not trying to knock anyone. Just trying to find out if anyone knows how or why that happened.
@Bizarreparade6 ай бұрын
It's interesting if not important. I know slang words, and small seemingly unimportant inside jokes spread faster than wildfire in the military
@petersearls44436 ай бұрын
@@Bizarreparade once the generals start mispronouncing everyone else kind of has to fall in line so as not to piss off a General. Interesting one officer could have caused the whole thing. 😂😂😂

He's obviously saying "Nikola", not Nikolai. Sometimes in Serbia Nikolai is used but realistically not really since it's basically old Slavic language for modern Nikola. In Russia there is a lot of Nikolai's tho, in Ukraine for example Nikola is Mikola etc.
