Thanks for test fitting the stoves and canisters. Been searching around to make a decision on which combination to purchase.

@@nickwaah2702 I was the same, my ideal set up is the 750ml pot and a Green Peak 2 stove but with the 230g canister but that doesn't work. I suppose keeping the stove in the bag next to the 750ml G2 pot is not the end of the world.

@@nickwaah2702 apparently the Firemaple Hornet stove fits in the G2 pot with the larger 230g gas cartridge

@ ok, thanks. I’ve settled on the remote stove and a larger canister since most of my trips will be between 24 hours. I really appreciate the feedback and your time.

Ughhh it’s a deal breaker for me not having all the markings on the G2 since I don’t always carry a separate cup 😕

I was thinking about buying the G2 but when I saw the interior and exterior measurements I ruled it out. I see it as more appropriate for Glamping than for Hiking. Heavier, wider to fit in a space in the backpack, the most common canister is the 100g one with plenty of room to swing around, and little interior height to accommodate both the Fire Maple Polaris and the Greenpeak. I will definitely stick with the G3 that I already own because I think the G2 is more appropriate for people who like to make complex meals in nature. For boiling, making coffee or noodles, the G3 is more suitable.

@@markoramius69 I totally agree, if boiling water is all you need to do the G3 is perfect. I'll use the G2 as I like to take pasta in a packet that's in a sauce and add pre cooked sausage or chicken etc. I still think if I had to choose one it would be the G2 for me.

Does the G3 fit the greenpeak 2 with pressure regulator? The $35 one?
@camping_guru_ukАй бұрын
@@charleseden5246 apparently yes, the green peak 2 was a bit tight for the cut out gaps on the early G3 pots but the later G3 and the new G2 have been designed so the green peak stoves fit perfectly. I think the green peak has slightly longer fold out pot supports than most stoves so even better for the wider G2

Agreed. Only caveat to this is where fuel efficiency is important. This will be more fuel efficient if boiling water for multiple people on a multi day trip. Also I see application for winter as well
@mattrox122129 күн бұрын
@@ddff5242exactly. The wider base will allow the pot to absorb more of the heat.

So nice of Fire Maple to add the (likely) fake FDA logo to their packaging. Does the FDA even have jurisdiction over this type of product?
@ralphneelands399010 күн бұрын
Probably just a blanket statement approving the use and safety of anodized aluminum
@brendand360010 күн бұрын
@@ralphneelands3990 I've never noticed an FDA logo on any other similar type of cooking pot - and it's unlikely that a Chinese company that only sells online would go to the effort to get their product approved by the FDA.
