great video thank you so much, for the quality of the image, and well done, I hope you did connect a wire connector to secure all the wires to make sure the cables don't get damaged by the vibration of the machine thank you again

Can you tell me what the make & model number is of the Z axis stepper motor on your machine?

The spindle takes it's own dedicated 220v plug. Where is the 220v plug on the machine, I never saw it?
@WoodworkingBusinessmen Жыл бұрын
That has to be wired up separately. 20amp circuit.

@@WoodworkingBusinessmen Yes I understand it takes its own dedicated 220v, but what I'm asking is...Where is the ACTUAL PLUG on the machine that PLUGS IN to the 220v outlet? I did not see one. The PHYSICAL CHORD AND PLUG?
@WoodworkingBusinessmen Жыл бұрын
@@JD-nq4vb They do not include one. They recommend an electrician wire it up. I did it myself, as noted at 3:55. It's essentially 12GA wire connected to a 20amp plug (they look different than your standard 110v plug). The other end is connected to the terminals shown at 3:58.

@@WoodworkingBusinessmen Yeah I know what they look like, but there are two types of 220v plugs, that's why I was asking so I know whick wall plug to buy. Thank you very much for the info and responding, especially so promptly, you've been a big help. My SS23 gets here Saturday. Thanks again.

@@JD-nq4vb You said your CNC was coming. That was a year ago. Did you get it and were you able to get it hooked up okay? Did you buy the spindle that requires 220 wiring?

What type of power do you need to run it
@WoodworkingBusinessmen3 ай бұрын
1 20amp (220v) circuit, 1 15amp (120v) circuit.

old Parelle port controller from wind cnc . even Cam master moved to centroid with ethernet
@WoodworkingBusinessmen Жыл бұрын
I'm curious what the issue is. I personally know of several Shopsabre machines (all using parallel ports). And all without issue. If there's a technical advantage to moving to ethernet, I'd like to hear it.
@jeffcoldon1496 Жыл бұрын
it outdated controller limited features. plain simple wind cnc has not updated there controllers in over 10 years Cam master switched off them to centroid. win cnc requires old tech pc windows 11 doesn't do parallel ports lot reasons the whole cnc world been using ethernet last 10 years or more . it faster response most controllers like centroid acorn run in real time better motion response resolution were old parallel port the pc is the controller i can go on all day why it better . i surprised shop Sabor still using them
@WoodworkingBusinessmen Жыл бұрын
Interesting. Maybe Shopsabre will change their system if they need to.

Where is the 220v plug that plugs into the wall? I do not have one.

They gave you a PC from 1995???

😅 I know, parallel ports are so old but apparently still work!

As a guy who has built 30+ custom PCs, I did laugh a little when I got mine.That said, it’s a decent PC which basically is a dedicated PCIE controller running WinCNC. I do appreciate the simplicity here as it runs cool and doesn’t have a lot of fluff to break. I did a few minor upgrades, added an SSD for backup and replaced the monitor, and upgraded to windows 11.
@WoodworkingBusinessmen Жыл бұрын
@@5280Woodworking I agree. Dropbox for my backup (Vcarve tool DB, Vcarve project files). Maybe I'll make a video on the ways I've made mine more efficient (WinCNC mods, automation, etc.) for our small production shop..

@@WoodworkingBusinessmen Yea, you should update on what you did. I too customized WinCNC. I added a park, power down and panel change using the P# positions. I also added a G91 offset using a 1" z-zero gauge which I love.
