I used to fall asleep to a radio as a kid. But now as an adult silence is golden. At work, I have to listen to the radio and so when I am not working, I don't listen to the music. I forget to turn on the radio. I do, however, like to listen to some of your older home vlogs as well as your current vlogs. You guys are a sweet and beautiful couple. Jenn...I find myself trying to mimic you as you are with Tim. Jackson is most blessed to have you both as parents. I have a question...so are you two just as talky off camera as you are on camera? My friend grew up with tv and video games in her room & she’s told me before that I fall asleep really fast lol and it takes her 30minutes to an hour to fall asleep. 🤷🏽♀️ I will say I was always kind of jealous of my friends who had TVs in their rooms, but looking back now it was always extra fun to go to my friends’ or have sleepovers bc we could watch movies all night & that was something special for me 😂😂 also soda, we never had soda at my house!

Tim is 100% right about the tv/radio theory. My husband and I talk about this all the time. I never had a tv in my room growing up and always went to sleep in silence, but yet he had a tv since he was tiny and would leave it on all night. Now, I can fall asleep anytime I want at the drop of a hat, usually within 30 seconds of getting in bed while he takes an hour or two and has to read or watch tv (after I"m asleep) I really do think that's what it is. Moral of story......no electronics in your room!

I know a lot of parents would prefer not to give their children any medications but if Jackson's was preventing him from sleeping I wanted you to know that it worked like a charm for her. 3 lil things - Jenn! Your hair is so pretty when it's down! It's a true quarantine ombre and looks like sunset. Mine is just omgrey 😂 if you had an instant pot you could throw several boneless skinless chicken breasts, chopped onion, salt pep, 1 1/2 cups water, manual setting 10 minutes and you have chicken ready for your grilled chicken sammies, tacos, enchiladas, burritos, chicken & dumplings, etc. Also - for disinfectant wipes you can use a roll of paper towels cut in to a smaller size (in half?), put in an old wipes container and pour disinfectant over it - enough for paper towels to soak up then pull the corner of the first one through the opening.

Tim don't give up, you CAN sing softly!!! If your voice "cracks" or "disappears" while singing softly its because the vocal folds are not coming together as they normally do when you speak. This part of the voice is called a "break" and is simply the transition between vocal registers (high vs. low) and everyone has it. Professional singers are constantly trying to smooth this area out. With patience and practice you too can sing SOFTLY!!!

Infants older than 6 months only need two naps, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Usually, 10am-noon and 2pm-4pm. By the time he's a one year old, he will only need the afternoon nap until kindergarten. My kids ditched the naps between age 3-4. We found that at that age if they had a nap in the afternoon, they wouldn't sleep until 10pm or later, which was bad. I didn't give my kids naps after age 4, so they were ready to sleep at 8pm. Their day would start after 6am and end at 8pm. This schedule worked well for us, but every kid and their family is different. You might find that Jackson may still need that nap until age 5.

To help my son go to sleep at Jackson's age, I would slowly walk around his room holding him and talk about pictures and items on his walls. Just talking about what it was and mentioning the name of the character or object, colors and stuff like that. After doing the same thing for about a week, he wanted to repeat the routine every night and wouldn't let me skip the routine, By the time we made our way around all 4 walls, he'd be very tired and willingly go to sleep in his crib. Took around maybe 20-30 minutes (sometimes quicker). Hope this helps.

Watchmen is amazing! I just rewatched it and even though it hadn’t been that long since I first watched it the show still blew me away. I can’t wait till you get to episode 6 cause that’s one of the best episodes of any tv show I’ve ever seem.

Hubbo said to fix your rug you need a silcone honeycomb undermat. It will be the best because it isnt an adhesive like velcro. Shoutty caps: DON'T STICK STICKY TO YOUR FLOOR!! P.S. Watchmen was great. Definitely a must watch.

I did have both. Sometimes I need the white noise to fall asleep. I sometimes hear your vlogs while I go to sleep. It helps me settle down. If I'm really exhausted I can fall asleep easily. My days off I fall asleep early. But I always wake up before my alarm goes off. It's weird.

I had a tv and radio that I'd watch in my room when I was young. But when I was in college I made the decision to keep the tv out of the room after having trouble sleeping and only using meditation or sleep sounds to sleep. This strategy helps me focus on the music instead of other noises like when we used to live in the city or when we travel somewhere. Definitely helps to limit screentime where you sleep helps train yourself to be more restful when you're in your room.

I had a music box that had fiber optic flowers in it, that i always had on. As I got older I got a small tv in my room and would fall asleep watching something and now it’s I watch stuff on my phone to fall asleep
