Tim, that feeder is heaven for the squirrels because you attached it to the tree. Squirrels can climb, hang, jump and swing into anything.. especially if attached or hung on tree. Doesn't look like you have any branches to hang anything from within the property. Would have to hang on branch far enough away from tree itself to prevent leaning or jumping of those ding dang squirrels. If you really want to feed the birds ONLY and keep the furballs out, I would recommend getting a tube style bird feeder, stand-alone hook pole to pound into the ground...away from a tree, and a "baffle" that hangs in between, with the feeder hanging under that. Just make sure it is far enough off the ground too so them bushy tail troublemakers cannot jump on it.

The Hispanic way to do rice. Rince until the water is no longer White ( that's the starch leaving the rice) then fry it until it's a bit golden with oil, then add double the rice in water ( 1 cup of rice = 2 cups of water ) add salt and let it sit for 20 minutes. Sometime we add frozen veggies and some sazon.

What a fun video!!! The difference between frosting and icing is that icing will form a crust that will cause it to be dry to the touch and frosting doesn't get that crust. Icing usually has shortening and/or meringue in it. I use sour cream in all of my cakes. It is magic!

If I forget to take the butter out of the frig early. I put water in a large glass and heat it in the microwave till it’s very hot. Leave the wrapper on the butter and put the stick of butter on a plate, dump out the water. Put the hot empty glass over the butter. It will soften the butter without melting it. Good luck! The butter should be standing up. 😊😊

Butter is fine to put in the microwave to make it room temp/softened! start at 10 seconds then judge how much more time you need from there (5 second intervals). But remember that butter melts from the inside out. Also, when making cake, it is important to have all your ingredients at room temp. Submerging your eggs in warm (not hot!) water will help bringing them to room temp! Loving the baking videos!

For that frosting vs icing debate: Frosting is the base that you usually put on cupcakes and cakes. You can use fancy tips with frosting to make flowers and patterns. Also, frosting has a lot more flavor while icing tends to be sugary and relatively flavorless. Icing is used for lettering and detailed designs and is piped in a thinner line. You don't usually use different tips for icing. Buttercream is a type of frosting. Hope this helps!

@kristiinaminson44154 жыл бұрын
Thanks for another great video! Jackson is getting cuter by the day. The difference between icing and frosting is the consistency; frosting is thick and spreads like butter, while icing is more runny and dries into a thin brittle layer. Frostings are typically used on cakes, cupcakes, etc. While icings are typically used on cookies, especially fancily-decorated ones that require precise detailwork.

I learned that trick in home economics haha!
