I think it tells a more interesting story if we match the signal time stamp to the story of the fight more than the personality. Like quite a few others, I think there’s more to it than just arrogance. I think he’s boastful, but not to the point of arrogance. His boasting is proportionate to his skill. It seemed he was able to hold out well until the end, hence why the SOS signal was later. Considering his skill, I wonder if it was really foolish arrogance. I think the tides turned in favour of the blight late in the battle, hence why he then sent out the signal. Other enlightening comments in the comment section add to the debate. One shows Medoh was the furthest away and Revali accessed his respective beast last . Another suggests he was able to hold out despite the disadvantage of not being able to see well in the dark until he began running out of arrows. For such a theory- heavy franchise, the simple labels of Mipha as meek and Revali as cocky have really dominated. I like how the themes recover the depth of their personalities a bit more than just ‘cocky’ or ‘shy’, but I’m too much of an analysis nerd I think.

songs try to convey feelings through creative ways, rythm for example the horse sound steps are used in that song that plays in horse betting, heart beats are used in popular music, "staying alive" its an example of perfect rythm to give Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation. Melody is another way, "duel of the fates" has a melody that goes up and down all the time, ending in a neutral tone, because its the fight of good vs evil but none of them is prevailing. That's not a bad interpretation, but I always felt it was because Zelda's desire to research Sheikah technology (something she was passionate about) was being "silenced" by her father's demand to focus on her spiritual training. 21:05 I'm not sure if it's been stated otherwise, but I think it's more likely that all NPC's speak a single language (likely Hylian) as members of different races interact with each other fairly often and never address any form of language barrier. Maybe the languages are only used in written form? It's also worth noting that Link most likely does not understand ancient Sheikah text, as the text for tabs before they are obtained (Album and Compendium) are not legible and stated to be corrupted, but are always labeled correctly in Shiekah text before Link first learns about them. It's not confirmation, but I think it's worth noting that the Slate does seemingly translate the texts from Shiekah when they are shown to the player in English. Zelda lore is crazy! The reason panic blood moons happen is if theres a memory error or otherwise. Essentially, if the game gets overloaded. Ypu can trigger them with certain glitches, and they're more common on the wii u version as a result

15:00 actually the number 4 is a reoccurring thing in the zelda series in general. four giants and bosses in majora's mask, four elements in minish cap, the four-sword, which can create four clones in minish cap and four sword's adventure, four goddeses (farore, nayru, din, hylia), the name tetra(which means four) in wind waker, four spirit orbs for an upgrade in BoTW, four of ToTK's equivalent of spirit orbs in ToTK, and a bunch of other stuff

Which is funny and ironic because number 4 is regarded as the number of misfortune in Japanese, kinda like number 13 in the west.

The towers' heights are ordered to signify _the level of difficulty of unlocking them;_ the tallest ones like Hebra or Wasteland require not only a lot of stamina, but also elemental protection from the hot desert or the chilling winds of the tundra.
@PorkShark Жыл бұрын
Akkala Tower doesn't require elemental protection, but the guardians surrounding it suggest preparation of Ancient Arrows at the very least. Avoiding the whole area and coming back later once you have the Ancient Armor Set is also a strategy that's suggested by the developers in Master Mode, where enemy HP scales beyond normal weapon damage and durability.
@PorkShark Жыл бұрын
In comparison, Dueling Peaks Tower doesn't require anything to reach, but it also doesn't open up very many _reachable locations by paraglider_ *not also reachable by foot and/or climbing.*

Apparently the list in this video is by absolute height ("above sea level" as it were), not above the surrounding ground. I think the Gerudo Tower is by far the tallest from its base.

honestly I think the reason link couldn't have just had a good meal or a nap is because he literally fully died. Of course nintendo can't say it out loud because age ratings, but I think it was heavily implied. The shrine of resurrection took so long, deleted his memories and took most of his strength cuz it was healing and giving life back to a corpse.
@richardmahn7589 Жыл бұрын
1:40 Well this proves it!! Link wasn't dying or almost dead in that battle with Zelda against the guardians, but just out of stamina! He didn't need a fairy or meal, but just a stamilla shroom skewer! LOL

Zelda: Link, you're stumbling around. I think I better put you in a chamber where you'll sleep for 100 years and lose your memory. Link: Wait wait, I just need my stamina to come... *bonk* (Zelda didn't want Link to talk any more...)

For the Stalnox, how he got to the basement is easy, they killed the hinox(or when he was already a Stalnox) and brought the bone pile into the basement, where he either reassembled after falling apart from taking eye damage, or from the blood moon

12:40 If I had to guess, I'd imagine that footprints belongs to a particularly large Dodongo. Given the area, it would make sense and the size of King Dodongo in Ocarina (among some other boss appearances in the series) there IS precedent for them to potentially reach that size.

Those same dogs can lead you to treasure. Some of these are actually useful, thanks! I had one of those panic blood moons at 10am because I went around killing all lynels, Talos, Hinoxes and resources while skipping bloods moon. Can be done by hiding in a shrine before the cutscene plays. Takes about a week in game. Item tossing is useful for bananas with distracting the Yiga clan. It even works on the dlc final boss.

@thenamelessnpc1000 Жыл бұрын
Correction about the "U King" name. It's based on playing cards. I'm pretty sure Skyward Sword was called "jack" and oot 3d was called queen. I'm a bit fuzzy on the specifics, but past games have been named after cards. The "u" probably comes from the wii u, which it was developed for

I’m pretty sure the reason why Link had to go to the shrine of resurrection and not just a nearby stable bed for a quick rest is because he fully straight up died. Like, “Game Over” died. And if you have a fairy on hand, they don’t seem to work in the same way as the shrine. They protect Link from the fatal blow, be it in some magical force field way or whatever, and replenish a handful of hearts. Once you get a proper game over, no amount of fairies can revive Link. The shrine wasn’t just replenishing link’s health. It was reviving a clinically dead body, one that would’ve been dead for a good while considering the distance between fort hateno and the great plateau. And honestly, it did a pretty damn good job at it if he still has muscle memory of how to fight and was able to remember his name.

The closest thing that I can think of for the skull at 11:47 is Volvagia from Ocarina of Time because of the short snout and shape of the eyes. The hole at the top of the head that looks like it was caused by blunt force; which could also be a reference to Link using the Megaton hammer against him. The size and direction of the horns could be down to this thing being a decedent of Volvagia, just like Valoo from Wind Waker!

A trick I use when I play is that if you climb the akala tower and use revali's gale from the top you can sail all the way to the top of the cliffs surrounding lanayru and bypass the whole wandering path in the rain. You need stamina food though
@mathmannix Жыл бұрын
Recently in a game I glided all the way (using several stamina refills) from the top of Mount Lanayru to the highlands southeast of Zora's Domain (where I only had to climb a little bit further to get to the Lynel there.) Then I sailed down into Zora's domain where I met Sidon for the first time.

I actually think the reason it took Revali longer to send out his SOS call is because he felt cockier and didn't want to admit he needed help, which would fit how he's portrayed
@marielcarey4288 Жыл бұрын
That's what everyone's saying
@Rolling_Girl_falling_forever Жыл бұрын
I wouldn’t say he’s “cocky” here. He may be obnoxious in conversation, but he took his duties VERY seriously. Because of this, admitting that he needed urgent help for the blight that he was TRAINED to handle felt shameful to him, it was a crushing defeat in his mind. While the other champions probably recognized the huge disadvantage they were up against and called for help ASAP, Revali was determined not to disappoint the others and prove his worth, only SOS’ing as a last resort on the brink of death. Revali, for how egotistical the community paints him out to be, is actually very insecure of his skills and place as a Champion.
@jazzman616 Жыл бұрын
45:28 This would be consistent with being left handed. When walking, there is a tendency to lead with the foot opposite your dominant hand. Maybe in BotW, he decided the shield parry needed his dominant hand more than his swordplay did.

I think the reason Revali’s SOS is weaker is because of his pride. He didn’t want to call for help because he has an ego and so he only sent a distress after he was already very weak.
