I cry everytime i hear this. My sons Dad passed away last year and I'll never forget how much he loved this song and we loved the Hip. I remember sitting having a coffee listening to radio when we heard About Gord's diagnosis and we both looked at eachother and started bawling . Love you Jesse and you too Gordie RIP ♡♡

I didn't find out about the hip till after gords diagnosis. I figured the hip was just another band... then I heard 50 mission cap. That started me down the road of every single song I could find. Then trying to find the meanings and the back stories. I love this band. In the 2 years I've been listening to them I feel myself becoming more aware of the the needs of others. The Hip has made me a better person. I wish I would have found them when I was younger.

I just watched Long Time Running and it Hits Me the same way excellent documentary and any fan of rock n roll music should see it NOT just fans of The Tragically Hip. Gordon Downie was the greatest performer and showman I ever had the pleasure of seeing almost every tour usually down in Texas driving from Shawnee Oklahoma to do so . I would never do that for any other rock band I LOVED. I am so glad to have seen them live in the USA small clubs such a killer band I think every show was well over 90 minutes with encores too. God Bless The Tragically Hip

Such an elegant frontman who was obviously comfortable in his role. He was a showman in and of himself, without the need to rely on any gimmicks or pyrotechnics or false personas. A shame we couldn't get more music from him, but we certainly do have a LARGE body of work to enjoy until the end of time.

HIP HIP HIP! Got my daily Hip fix. Saw the Hip three times on this tour. Dallas, Houston and Austin (whose motto is "Keep Austin Weird") and when Gordon went into the lines "Bring on the requisite strangeness/ It always has to get a little weird...a little weird" the audience exploded. Reel em' in Gord! and I hope it never ends! The Tragically Hip-the greatest band on the face of the Earth!

The Rock Under the pillow I bury my head and try and shut Chicago out As it turns out there's a whole other world of sounds Of perfect fifths low skids and Arctic howls All saying are you going through something? Are you going through something? Under the pillow a little room to breathe The early morning light's a pale cranberry I hear the Aaa-aah-aah not now-wow-wow Of a siren faraway and closing steadily Saying Are you going through something? Are you going through something? Cuz I - I - I - I I am too Under the pillow I can hear you whisperin' are you going through something? Well honey are you going through something? Are you going through something? Then I - I - I - I I am too Then I - I - I - I I am too Then I - I - I - I I am too NewOrleansWorld Gimme gimme gimme gimme-gimme Gimme an opportunity gimme-gimme Put me put me put me put me-put me In the saddle I'll ride you'll see There's new work in the Day Room I can't lounge on-line Don't you laugh I'd sell a giraffe and I'd give you half Just to occupy my mind I'll be driven my eyes always moving I'll be riveted to the task yea No smiling! That's important I will make my face a mask And I'm thinking just in passing What if this song does nothing? What if this song does nothing Working in the new NewOrleansWorld I'm emptying slots working like a ghost I move through huge rooms with no windows And no Gulf of Mexico Gimmegimmegimme gimme-gimme Gimme an opportunity gimme-gimme Put me put me put me put me-put me In the saddle please I'll be driven my eyes always moving I'll be riveted to the task yea No smiling! That's so important I will make my face a mask And I'm thinking just in passing What if this song does nothing? What if this song does nothing? What if this song does nothing What if this song does nothing Don't You Wanna See How It Ends? Bring on the requisite strangeness It always has to get a little weird a little weird Yea you just bring on the requisite strangeness Bring it on then disappear disappear Go to be a man of the boom To Florida without the ocean But Don't you wanna see how it ends? When the door is just starting to open? When Athabasca depends? Don't you wanna see how it ends I can hear you But I can't stay here You left me lost in the Barrens You left me born on the stairs It's minus 11 Inside my kettle I didn't come to get lost in the Barrens I didn't come to settle To be a man on the moon To get my little slice of heaven Yeah Don't you wanna see how it ends? When the door is just starting to open? And Athabasca depends Doncha wanna see how it ends Don't you wanna see how it ends? The door is just starting to open. Athabasca depends. Don't you wanna see how it ends? Yeah Don't you wanna see how it ends? I'm holding the door to the Barrens And Athabasca depends Doncha wanna see how it ends?
