We have the opportunity to work all over Florida for some great clients. Just got back from a trip to Ft Lauderdale and end of this week we will be over by Crystal River with a few jobs in between in Orlando. Florida is by far my favorite state in the Union!

@@TheTreeShop that's great. I lived there for over 40 years. 13 in Massachusetts and a few in Tennessee. Florida is definitely a great place to live and, more importantly, a great place to own a business. Desantis is, in my opinion, the best governor in the country. I dig watching all of the different equipment you use. I know that you rent a lot of it, is there anything that you own or lease long term?

Desantis is definitely nice to have backing us. The Private Property Bill of Rights he passed a few years ago was amazing. As far as equipment goes we only rent the excavators. I wouldn’t be surprised to see an excavator get purchased this year too.

So do you have to charge different for the excavator?

Yes, we do flat rate or daily rate for excavator work. Depends on size and scope of work which one I’ll offer.

Was there any update on the bad neighbors case?

Unfortunately that project is no longer an option. I believe the land owner sold the land and moved his project to a different piece he owned that was already cleared.

Hey buddy let me ask you a question. I am pulling the trigger on a cat 309 or a cat 310 this week. I’m torn between the two the cat 309 has the articulating boom and the cat 310 does not any place in your business where you feel you could use that articulating boom is the first question my second question is I was thinking about buying a grapple for theexcavator of choice, but I see you’re using a thumb with a bucket. Do you prefer that set up thumb and bucket opposed to extend the grapple?

310 with a rotating grapple is the setup I’d go with. 309 is junk. 308 or 310 are the ones to buy. I would only personally buy the 310
