Due to vote bank politics, the political parties are busy pleasing farmers and giving them plethora of benefits at the cost of industry. This is a typical case of pleasing the wealth destroyer at the cost of wealth creators. Farmers are behaving like goons and destroying Punjab. They have free electricity (worst thing for any economy), huge subsidies, MSPs and still arm twisting government for more freebies. On the other hand, Industry, which is providing job opportunities to millions has been ignored and left to rot. One thing which can save Punjab from further going down is to crack down on these agitating farmers/ goons who do not contribute anything to economy (instead they are looting economy) and give good infrastructure to industry.
